🇸🇰 To mark the 82nd anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, media representatives and personnel from the NATO Multinational Brigade in Slovakia took part in the commemorative events.

This date represents one of the most significant historical events for Slovakia and stands as a symbol of resistance, freedom and the defence of shared values.

The presence of Spain and NATO on this day reflects their firm commitment to Slovakia and to the security of all Alliance members. Spain and NATO stand shoulder to shoulder with their allies, today and always, strengthening cohesion and collective deterrence.

🇨🇿 On the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, Jaromír Zůna, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, visited Slovakia and met with Czech soldiers serving in the country as part of NATO’s Multinational Brigade.

During the visit, he held an open discussion with members of the Czech contingent, showing particular interest in their experiences, daily life and deployment abroad. The soldiers also had the opportunity to share their views and insights directly with the Minister.

The visit was also an opportunity to recognise the professionalism, dedication and commitment of the Czech soldiers deployed in Slovakia. It further highlighted the strong commitment of the Czech Republic and NATO to collective defence and to safeguarding the security of every member of the Alliance.

Running for a soldier, running for a good cause

Two teams from the Multinational Brigade Slovakia took part in the 5th Master Sergeant Vladimir Kollár Memorial Run, organized by the 2nd Force Brigade in Zvolen.

Beyond the sporting challenge, the event supported an important charitable cause. Funds raised will be donated through the Military Support Foundation to the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at the Children’s University Hospital in Banská Bystrica.
