In a significant stride towards community development, Hon. Pst Adama Conteh sesay has embarked on the installation of solar lights across various areas in her constituency. Following the successful implementation of the first phase in neighbourhoods such as Kroo Bay Town, Robert Street, and other streets, the second phase has recently brought light to the popular Falcon Bridge and its surrounding areas.

On Sunday 20th October 2024, Hon. Pastor Adama Conteh, the APC Women's Leader for West West District, attended the funeral ceremony of the APC Kenema District Women's Leader's mother in Kenema City. Her presence at the ceremony was a show of solidarity and compassion, demonstrating her commitment to supporting fellow APC women leaders during times of grief.

CONSEQUENCES OF BEING EXCESSIVELY GULLIBLE IN AFRICAN POLITICS....The Feeling Of Being Betrayed At Last.....

Following the patterns of happenings in African politics, I have pondered over the exceptional work of Science and Technology, but question the decision to ignore suitable measures that prevent the misuse in the improvement of technology.

In this current digital age, while appreciating the emergence of new technologies centered on operating for information speed to reduce physical and mental workload in communication, the everyday misuse of smartphones, personal computers, and more accessible by all class of individuals persistently create more harm than the intended good.

Technological development in this modern era has greatly influenced many aspects of human lives, but gullibility in followers of politicians is threatening the peaceful coexistence in diverse political views.

It is my belief that the acceptance of misinformation due to gullibility makes people susceptible to be manipulated by political demagogues. It is also my view that this accessibility to smartphones by few individuals always create the anxiety to easily trust politicians blindly, which has the tendency to erode trust and democratic processes, lacking the conviction to discern and make informed choices.

Lack of self-compassion to Learn and Grow, and the Lack of feelings to set healthy boundaries is ultimately the dividend for this extreme gullibility.
It is only when you become too gullible that you can have the feeling of disillusion and being betrayed when a promise becomes unfulfilled. Also, being extremely gullible results to Erosion of Democracy when one felt betrayed.

It is however crucial to foster critical thinking and skepticism in Politics, to be self-protective against the dangers of excessive gullibility in the Politics of today.
