CHILDREN'S FORUM NETWORK - WESTERN AREA RURAL DISTRICT CALLS FOR A CHILDREN'S TOWN HALL MEETING IN THE DISTRICT ‼️‼️‼️

The Children’s Forum Network – Western Area Rural District is pleased to announce the hosting of a Children’s Town Hall Meeting, a district-wide children's engagement that will lead to our general election in the district.

This Town Hall Meeting is designed as an open and inclusive platform for children across the Western Area Rural District to come together and evaluate our operations for the past years, engage in meaningful dialogue on policies around child protection, experience sharing among children and also recognize some partners and stakeholders that have been very supportive towards our work. Finally to collectively agree on priority actions for the year 2026.

Additionally, this moment of recognition is intended to strengthen relationships, reaffirm shared commitments, and encourage continuity in collaboration with the next CFN leadership. At CFN, we believes that when children are engaged, policies and programs become more responsive and sustainable.

We are open for partnerships, support or donation.

BACK TO SCHOOL!!
BACK TO HOPE!

Guess what?

Imagine a child eager to learn but held back by no bag, no book, no pen. 🥹😔

Education is a fundamental rights to a child, yet a lot of children in Sierra Leone particularly in the Western Area Rural District continue to face barriers due to lack of learning materials. These challenges contribute to school dropouts, child labor, and other social risks for our innocent children.

However, the Children’s Forum Network in the western area rural district in collaboration with the Western Area Rural District Students’ Union are here with the 4th edition of our Back to School Campaign.

This campaign is an initiative aimed at providing basic learning materials to vulnerable children in the district and also regardless of the child’s status or background have equal access to education. We are looking forward to making this year’s edition a success. 🙌🙌🙌

Join us in the 4th Edition of our Back to School Campaign let help vulnerable children in the district start the school year with confidence and high spirit.

Donate anything little, Change a life forever. Let us make education possible for every child.

Best Regards,
Amadu Marah.

On behalf of CFN - WARD, we are writing to update everyone that we collaborated with the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs at the western area rural district to do a robust monitoring of few existing Interim Care Centers in the district.

It was a fantastic opportunity to interface with our peers living in those orphanage homes and have a direct discussion with them trying to understand their situation in these homes.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to offer professional counseling to the children, we provided more updated information to the care givers in the homes and on a few exceptional situations we also recommended certain things that need improvement but honestly we will assure you all that, all the homes that we visited today are doing more than enough and to the best interest of the children.

Finally, my experienced today, tells me that the future of all our peers in these homes are in great hands. 😊

Thank you very much and continue to stay tuned. 🙌🙌
