LIMKOKWING DEMO WEEK 2026 RECAP
What an incredible showcase of talent, innovation, and practical learning across all faculties at Limkokwing University Sierra Leone! Here is how our dynamic departments turned learning into real-world impact:
ICT: Digital Public Goods in Academia
In partnership with MOCTI and UNICEF Sierra Leone, led by Ayorinde Oluwatosin & Hawa Kallon, our ICT students (Semesters 2, 4, and 6) integrated Digital Public Goods (DPGs) into their curriculum. Through hands-on tutorials and industry critique, students moved from being digital consumers to creators of open-source, locally relevant technologies.
Industry Response: Experts highly commended the students for building open, locally relevant solutions rather than relying on imported systems, praising their privacy, security, and alignment with national development goals while advising on scalability and real-world deployment.
Business Management & Globalization
Student entrepreneurs took the spotlight, pitching and showcasing vibrant local brands including LIMCOM Signature, KEMTEH Skincare, ECOGLOW, MAMA Market Mix, BAKED by Her, and TTALAB Juice.
Key Panel Feedback: Focus on core brand identity, highlight local ingredients/content, refine USPs, leverage grants, and partner with local supermarkets to scale.
Design Innovation
Our design pioneers displayed architectural models (guard posts, pavilions, modern galleries, and holistic wellness centers), furniture designs, and student enterprises like LLizmir Design (local drinks, plantain chips, and custom apparel). The panel praised their craftsmanship while offering strategic guidance for refinement.
Communication, Media & Public Relations
Students screened impactful media projects addressing real societal themes, including Silence Struggle (Docu), Last Admission (Short Film), Madina Community (Docu), Quiet Betrayal (Short Film), and creative commercials for Sweet Yogurt and Neutrogena. Industry experts lauded their storytelling skills and encouraged continuous creative growth.
A massive thank you to our dedicated lecturers, Heads of Departments, industry partners, and students for making Demo Week 2026 a resounding success! Up next: Our End of Semester Pitch Day Recap!
