Social Movement Network

Social Movement Network Our group the Social Movement Network is a collective of people from the commercial s*x work industry fighting for the right and respect of s*x workers.

n most countries, even those where s*x work is legal, s*x workers of all kinds feel that they are stigmatized and marginalized, and that this prevents them from seeking legal redress for discrimination (for e.g., racial discrimination by a strip club owner, dismissal from a teaching position because of involvement in the s*x industry), non-payment by a client, assault or r**e. Activists also belie

ve that clients of s*x workers may also be stigmatized and marginalized, in some cases even more so than s*x workers themselves. For instance, in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, it is illegal to buy s*xual services, and also commercial s*x is illegal in many cases. But because of the unemployment and poverty, commercial s*x largely spread in our societies and communities around Sierra Leone. Our noble network The Social Movement Network (S.M.N) is working tirelessly to prevent all forms of discrimination, violence and disrespect face by commercial s*x workers in our region. Aim to destigmatize s*x work and ensure fair treatment before legal and cultural forces on a local and international level for all persons in the s*x industry.
