The Enough Abuse Campaign (EAC) is a global movement dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse (CSA) and supporting survivors through evidence-based strategies, community education, and advocacy. Originating in the United States and now active in several countries, the campaign empowers communities with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent, identify, and respond to child sexual exploitation
and abuse—both offline and online. In Sierra Leone, the Enough Abuse Campaign works to build safer communities for children by strengthening child protection systems, promoting survivor-centered approaches, and partnering with government ministries, civil society organizations, schools, and youth-serving institutions. Through training, advocacy, and policy engagement, EAC Sierra Leone raises awareness, builds capacity, and drives legal and social reforms that help protect children from abuse. EAC’s work includes:
Public education and awareness campaigns to dispel myths, increase understanding of CSA, and promote protective behaviors. School- and community-based prevention programs that equip children, parents, teachers, and community leaders with practical skills to prevent and respond to abuse. Support to survivors through referrals, empowerment programs, psychosocial support, and safe spaces. Advocacy for strong legal and policy frameworks, including mandatory reporting laws, child-friendly justice systems, and safeguards in schools and youth organizations. Efforts to combat technology-facilitated abuse, including online grooming, exploitation, and harmful digital practices affecting children. EAC operates with the belief that everyone has a role to play in ending child sexual abuse, and it mobilizes sectors across society to create safer environments for all children.
