The All People’s Congress (APC) National Women’s Congress Sierra Leone extends heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Rosemarie Bangura on her election as Vice Chairperson of the West African Regional Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.

This remarkable achievement is not only a proud moment for the APC family but also a significant milestone for Sierra Leone and women in leadership across the African continent. Hon. Rosemarie Bangura’s election reflects her dedication, competence, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to regional cooperation, democratic governance, and the empowerment of women and young people.

As a distinguished Member of Parliament representing Tonkolili District, Hon. Rosemarie Bangura has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and exceptional service to the people of Sierra Leone. Her elevation to this important continental position is a testament to her hard work, integrity, and passion for advancing the interests of the West African region within the Pan-African Parliament.

The APC National Women’s Congress believes that her new role will further strengthen Sierra Leone’s voice within continental affairs and inspire more women to actively participate in leadership and decision-making processes at both national and international levels.

*APC National Women's Congress Celebrates Haja Isatu Bah Kamara on her Recognision of 50 Most influential African Women in Leadership Award at the Bintumani Hotel Aberdeen in Freetown*

Haja Isatu Bah Kamara is the APC Southern. Regional Chairperson. A position that has been perceived to be a men's role. Her resilience as an opposition leader in a perceive stronghold of the SLPP is unparalleled. She has been capable of promoting the philosophy and ideology of the APC in Southern Region.

She was recognised for been the first female Deputy Commissioner at the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) where she promote social services that was beneficial to the people of Sierra Leone. And her service in non governmental organisation like SLOIC etc where she provide disadvantage youth with skill training and mentorship.

*Throwback on the APC National Women's Congress International Women's Day Commemoration*

On 8th March 2026 at the APC National Headquarters in Freetown, the APC Women from all over Sierra Leone converge to Commemorate their 4th annual International Women's Day.

The President of the Congress Madam Mariama Lowe declared that "we are joining the world to commemorate this occasion to celebrate women's achievements and the essence of Women's empowerment. We are also using this occasion to call out biases, stereotypes, injustice, inequality and barriers limiting Women's advancement in politics.

*Mama Lowe Passionately Advocating for Women and Girls in Prison*

Madam Mariama Lowe Bangura, President of the APC National Women's Congress, is passionately advocating for the situation of women and girls at the Sierra Leone Female Correctional Center on Ecko Media.

She recalled her recent visit to the Special Court Female Correctional Center, where she met about 274 women and girls housed in a facility meant for about 18 inmates.

She called on the justice system to conduct a speedy investigation into pending trials and to review how minor offenses are investigated.
