Weekly Exhortation (31st August 2026)

Topic: It Is Never Too Late

Key Scriptures: Joel 2:25, Isaiah 43:18–19, Lamentations 3:22–23, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 🙏🏾

This week, be encouraged: **It is never too late with God.**

Your past mistakes, age, failures, lost opportunities, or present circumstances cannot put you beyond the reach of God's grace. Throughout Scripture, God restored and used people who might have thought their best days were behind them.

**Joel 2:25** declares, *“I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.”* God is able not only to forgive the past but also to restore what appears to have been lost.

**Abraham and Sarah – Never Too Late for God's Promise**

Abraham and Sarah had reached an age when having a child seemed naturally impossible. Yet God fulfilled His promise.

**Romans 4:20–21** tells us that Abraham did not stagger at God's promise through unbelief but remained fully persuaded that God could accomplish what He had promised.

**The lesson:** Human limitations cannot cancel God's promises.

**Moses – Never Too Late for God's Purpose**

Moses had a troubled past and spent many years in the wilderness. Yet at **80 years old**, God called him to lead Israel out of Egypt.

Society might have considered Moses' best years finished. **God considered him ready.**

*The lesson:* Your past mistakes and your age do not automatically disqualify you from God's purpose.

*Jonah – Never Too Late for a Second Chance*

Jonah ran away from God's instruction and suffered the consequences. But after he turned back to God, **Jonah 3:1** says:

*“And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time.”*

What a powerful statement!

**The lesson:** Failure does not have to be the final chapter. God specializes in restoration and redirection.

**The Thief on the Cross – Never Too Late for Salvation**

The thief beside Jesus had almost no time remaining. Yet when he turned to Christ, Jesus promised him paradise (**Luke 23:39–43**).

**The lesson:** No one should believe that they have gone too far for God's mercy.

**God Can Still Do Something New**

**Isaiah 43:18–19** tells us not to remain trapped in former things because God is doing something new.

Perhaps you are saying:

*“I am too old.”*
*“I wasted too many years.”*
*“I made too many mistakes.”*
*“My opportunity has passed.”*

But God can restore, redirect, forgive, renew, and give fresh purpose.

**Weekly Nugget ✨**

**In God's Kingdom, the clock never runs out on mercy. God can reclaim wasted years and give new purpose to people the world considers finished.**

**Prayer for the Week 🙏🏾**

* Lord, restore the years and opportunities I have lost.
* Help me to stop living in regret and start looking forward in faith.
* Give me courage to believe Your promises despite my circumstances.
* Turn my past mistakes into lessons for my future.
* Give me another opportunity where I have failed.
* Renew my purpose and strengthen my faith.
* Let something new begin in my life.
* In Jesus' name, Amen.

I bless your week in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏🏾 May God restore what has been lost, renew what has become weak, and breathe fresh life into your purpose. May your past never imprison your future.

*WEEKLY EXHORTATION* (24th August 2026)

*Topic of the Week: The Power of the Tongue: Life or Death?*

*Key Scripture:* Proverbs 18:21

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The tongue is a small part of the human body, but it carries tremendous power. With our words, we can encourage or discourage, build up or destroy, bless or hurt, speak truth or spread deception.

*Proverbs 18:21* says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

This reminds us that our words matter to God. Words are powerful. God created the heavens and the earth through His Word, and although our words cannot create in the same way God’s Word does, our speech can have a profound effect on the lives of others.

Jesus warned us in Matthew 12:36 that we will give an account for every careless or idle word we speak.

*The Wrong Use of the Tongue*

We must be careful of:

Gossip – spreading harmful or destructive information about others.

Backbiting – speaking negatively about someone when they are not present. (Proverbs 25:23)

Deceitful speech – misleading others or hiding the truth. (Micah 6:12)

False words – speaking what is untrue. (Psalm 120:3)

Double speech – saying different things to different people. (1 Timothy 3:8)

Perverse speech – deliberately twisting truth and turning away from what is morally right. (Proverbs 16:28)

James reminds us that although the tongue is small, it can cause great damage. James 3:5–6 describes the tongue as a small member that can boast great things and cause destruction.

*How Should We Use Our Tongue?*

As children of God, our tongues should be used to:

- Speak righteousness. (Psalm 35:28)
- Speak wisdom. (Proverbs 31:26)
- Speak God's Word. (Psalm 119:172)
- Sing praises to God. (Psalm 126:2)
- Speak with kindness. (Proverbs 31:26)
- Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Philippians 2:11)

Brethren, before we speak, we should ask ourselves: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it helpful? Does it glorify God?

A word spoken cannot easily be taken back. Therefore, let us learn to control our tongues and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our speech.

This week, let us ask God to put a guard over our mouths. May our words bring healing instead of hurt, encouragement instead of discouragement, truth instead of deception, and life instead of death.

Let our tongues become instruments of blessing.

Father Lord, padlock my tongue and hold the key.
Lord, only open my mouth when You want me to speak.
Father, deliver me from gossip, backbiting, lies, and careless speech.
Lord, put a guard over my mouth and keep watch over my lips.
Father, let my words bring life, healing, encouragement, and wisdom.
Lord, help me to speak truth with love.
Father, forgive me for every word I have spoken that has hurt or destroyed others.
Lord, give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent.
Father, let my tongue glorify You and bless others.
Lord, may every word that comes from my mouth be pleasing to You.

Weekly Exhortation*(17th August 2026)

*Topic: Surrendering Self-Will — Finding Freedom in God's Plan**

**Key Scriptures:** Luke 22:42, Titus 1:7, 1 Samuel 15:22–23

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 🙏🏾

**Self-will** is the stubborn determination to have our own way, even when it conflicts with God's will. It is choosing **“what I want”** instead of asking, **“What does God want?”**

Self-will is often connected with **pride, stubbornness, rebellion, disobedience, and resistance to God's authority.**

**King Saul: A Warning Against Self-Will**

King Saul is a powerful example.

God gave Saul clear instructions concerning the Amalekites, but Saul chose to do things his own way. He spared King Agag and kept what God had commanded him to destroy (**1 Samuel 15:1–23**).

Samuel therefore declared:

> **“To obey is better than sacrifice.”**
> — 1 Samuel 15:22

Saul's problem was not that he did nothing. His problem was that **he did not fully obey God.**

*Jesus: The Perfect Example**

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed:

**“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” — Luke 22:42**

Jesus teaches us the greatest lesson of surrender: **God's will must come before our own will.**

Sometimes God's plan may not be what we want. Sometimes obedience requires sacrifice. But surrendering our will to God opens the door to His purpose, peace, and blessing.

*How Self-Will Manifests**

Self-will can appear as:

* **Pride** — refusing correction.

* **Stubbornness** — insisting on having our own way.

* **Disobedience** — knowing God's instruction but refusing to follow it.

* **Presumption** — acting without waiting for God's direction.

* **Unbelief** — refusing to trust God's promises.

* **Resistance to God's Spirit** — refusing His correction and guidance.

**Acts 7:51** warns against resisting the Holy Spirit.

**Weekly Nugget ✨**

**True freedom is not getting everything we want. True freedom is surrendering our will to God and trusting that His plan is better than ours.**

*Prayer for the Week* 🙏🏾

Lord, deliver me from self-will, pride, stubbornness, and rebellion.

Help me to surrender my desires to Your will.

Give me a humble and obedient heart.

Teach me to trust Your plan even when I do not understand it.

Like Jesus, help me to say:

“Not my will, but Thine, be done.”**

In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏾

May the Lord give you the grace to surrender your will completely to Him. May He remove every spirit of pride and stubbornness and give you a heart that is humble, obedient, and sensitive to His voice.

Weekly Exhortation (10th August 2026)
*Topic: Others May, But I Cannot*

Key Scriptures: Matthew 16:24, Daniel 1:8, 1 Corinthians 9:27

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 🙏🏾

There are times when we must be able to say: “Others may, but I cannot.”

As followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. We cannot allow the crowd, friends, society, or circumstances to determine our standards. God has called us to holiness, obedience, discipline, and separation from sin.

Daniel: Others May, But I Cannot

Daniel 1:8 says, “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself.”

Daniel was surrounded by people who could have influenced him, but he made a personal decision to remain faithful to God.

He did not say, “Everyone else is doing it, so I can do it too.”

He decided: “Others may, but I cannot.”

*The Prodigal Son*

The prodigal son followed the wrong influence and left his father's house. He eventually lost everything and was abandoned when his resources were gone.

But Luke 15:17 says, “And when he came to himself…”

He changed direction, returned to his father, and was restored.

Don't follow others into destruction. Come to yourself and return to God.

Following Christ Requires Self-Denial

Jesus said in Matthew 16:24:

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Following Jesus means that sometimes we must say NO when everyone else is saying YES.

Others may compromise, but I cannot.
Others may follow the crowd, but I cannot.
Others may live in sin, but I cannot.
Others may choose the world, but I must choose Christ.

*Our Examples*

Enoch walked with God and was taken by God (Genesis 5:24).

Elijah remained faithful to God in a difficult generation and was taken into heaven (2 Kings 2:11).

These men remind us that faithfulness to God is more important than fitting in with the crowd.

*Weekly Nugget* ✨

Holiness requires personal decisions. What others may do does not determine what God permits me to do.

*Prayer for the Week* 🙏🏾

Lord Jesus, give me courage to stand for You when others choose another way. Help me to resist pressure, reject compromise, carry my cross, and remain faithful to Your Word.

Like Daniel, help me to purpose in my heart not to defile myself. Give me grace to say:

“ *OTHERS MAY, BUT I CANNOT* .”

Help me to follow Christ at any cost.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

May the Lord give you courage to stand alone when necessary, strength to resist temptation, and grace to remain faithful to Christ. May your life be an example of holiness, discipline, obedience, and true discipleship.

**Weekly Exhortation** (27th July 2026)

**Topic of the Week: Am I My Brother’s Keeper?**

**Scripture Focus: Genesis 4:9**

**Theme: Responsibility, Jealousy, and Love for One Another**

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This week’s exhortation comes from the story of **Cain and Abel** in **Genesis 4**. This story shows the destructive power of jealousy, the danger of unchecked resentment, and the moral duty we have toward one another.

When God asked Cain, **“Where is Abel thy brother?”** Cain replied, **“I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?”**

This response showed a refusal to accept responsibility for his brother. It also reflects how people sometimes turn away from the needs, pain, and welfare of others.

Cain brought an offering from the fruit of the ground. Abel brought **the firstlings of his flock and the fat thereof**, meaning he gave his best. God accepted Abel’s offering because it was offered with faith and sincerity.

Instead of correcting his heart, Cain allowed jealousy and anger to grow within him. His resentment led him to murder his brother. This teaches us that when jealousy, bitterness, and anger are left unchecked, they can lead to terrible sin and judgment.

As believers, we are called to care for one another. We are not to live selfishly or ignore the struggles of others. We must love, protect, encourage, and support one another. In truth, we **are** our brother’s keeper.

This week, let us examine our hearts. Is there jealousy, anger, resentment, or selfishness in us? Are we taking responsibility for loving and caring for others as God expects?

May the Lord help us to walk in love, sincerity, and responsibility.

**Bible Verses**

* **Genesis 4:9**
“And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?”

* **Genesis 4:3–5**
Cain brought an offering from the ground, while Abel brought the best of his flock, and the Lord had respect unto Abel and his offering.

God warned Cain to master sin before it ruled over him.

* Father Lord, remove every spirit of jealousy, anger, and resentment from my heart.

* Father, help me to give You my best in worship, in service, and in life.

* Lord, keep me from sin and every destructive attitude.
