سفارة الجزائر بفريتاون، بمعية السلك الدبلوماسي الإفريقي المعتمد بجمهورية سيراليون، تحتفل بيوم إفريقيا الموافق لـ25 مايو من كل سنة، تجديدًا للاعتزاز بالثقافة الإفريقية وتنوعها، وترسيخًا لقيم الوحدة والتضامن بين شعوب القارة الإفريقية.

The Embassy of Algeria in Freetown, together with the African Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Republic of Sierra Leone, celebrates Africa Day observed annually on 25 May, reaffirming pride in African culture and its diversity, and promoting the values of unity and solidarity among the peoples of the African continent.

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, presided over the celebration marking , which coincides with the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity, observed on May 25, under the theme: “2026: The Year of Water Sustainability — Ensuring Sustainable Availability of Water and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.”

تحتفي الجزائر يوم 19 ماي بالذكرى الـ70 لليوم الوطني للطالب، تحت شعار:
"ذاكرة نضال ومسيرة بناء"

ذكرى خالدة نستحضر فيها تضحيات الطلبة الجزائريين ودورهم البطولي في مسيرة التحرير والبناء، ونجدّد من خلالها الاعتزاز بشباب الوطن وقدرته على صناعة المستقبل بالعلم والإرادة.

Algeria commemorates on May 19 the 70th anniversary of the National Student Day under the slogan:
“Memory of Struggle and a Journey of Building.”

This historic occasion honors the sacrifices and patriotic role of Algerian students in the liberation movement and highlights their contribution to the nation’s development and future through knowledge, determination, and ambition.

لقاء مثمر جمع سعادة السفير مع William Fayia Sellu، المفتش العام للشرطة في سيراليون.
وتناول اللقاء سبل وآليات التعاون بين مصالح السفارة وشرطة سيراليون، إضافةً إلى بحث وسائل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين المؤسستين الأمنيتين بالجزائر وسيراليون في مجالات الأمن، وبناء القدرات، وتبادل المعلومات، والشراكة المؤسساتية.
كما جدّد الطرفان التزامهما بتعزيز التعاون وخدمة المصالح المشتركة من خلال الحوار البنّاء والتنسيق المستمر.

A productive meeting took place between H.E. the Ambassador and William Fayia Sellu, Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Sierra Leone.
The discussions focused on the modalities of cooperation between the services of the Embassy and the Sierra Leone Police, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the police institutions in the areas of security, capacity building, information sharing, and institutional partnership.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration and promoting mutual interests through constructive dialogue and coordinated actions.

قام سعادة السفير عبد الحفيظ هاشم، اليوم، بزيارة إلى غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة في سيراليون، حيث كان في استقباله رئيسها السيد أولونِيِي روبن-كوكر.

وخلال هذا اللقاء، استعرض الطرفان مشاركة المتعاملين الاقتصاديين من سيراليون في الدورة السابعة والخمسين لمعرض الجزائر الدولي (FIA 2026)، المزمع تنظيمه بالجزائر العاصمة في الفترة من 22 إلى 27 يونيو 2026.

كما تناولت المباحثات فرص التعاون التجاري بين البلدين وسبل تطويرها وتعزيزها.

H.E. the Ambassador paid a visit to the Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, where he was warmly received by its President, Mr. Oluniyi Robin-Coker.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the participation of Sierra Leonean economic operators in the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA 2026), scheduled to take place in Algiers from June 22 to 27, 2026.

Discussions also focused on trade opportunities between the two countries and ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral economic cooperation.
