The fight against climate change must be of serious concern to all. For a very long time our planet has been cooler and warmer. In recent times, our climate is experiencing disaster after disaster from severe windstorm, serious flooding, earthquakes, bushfire etc.You never know when any of such disasters will come your way. The underlying reason behind all this is burning of fossil fuel which emits very large quantities of carbon and methane in unprecedented quantities into the atmosphere. The trees which absorbed Co2 have been cut down indiscriminately. We are harvesting more trees than we plant. Figure out what will happen if this continues; planet earth will continue to experience disaster after disaster. A 2018 research by renowned scientist's across the globe revealed that our planet is 1.5 degrees warmer and when thus is not held in check, temperatures would rise to about 4.4 degrees by the close of the century. Let us gear our day to day activities towards sustainable renewable energy sources. I am writing about energy from the sun, wind and water. This is sustainable energy which never runs out and will not lead to global warming with its disastrous consequences. Unsustainable energy sources like generators comes with emissions which do not help at all. Let us be very mindful of what we emit into the atmosphere every day. Let us also plant trees everywhere and maintain them to grow. Planting a tree takes seconds but maintaining them to grow takes at least a year.
