SOMINVEST officials have today participated in the virtual capacity building session on “EIF in Action: Championing Trade and Investment in the Least Developed Countries (LDCs)” organized under the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) in collaboration with international trade and investment stakeholders.

The high-level session brought together representatives from the WTO, UNCTAD, ITC, Afreximbank, WAIPA, development partners, investment promotion agencies, and trade institutions to discuss practical strategies for aligning trade and investment policies to accelerate economic transformation in LDCs.

The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening investment ecosystems, promoting export diversification, enhancing value addition, and building stronger linkages between foreign direct investment (FDI) and domestic enterprises.
