Sector 3, under the leadership of Maj. Gen. John Luk Bayak, and the 8th Infantry Division, under the leadership of Maj. Gen. James Otong Lieh, strongly condemn and reject the circulation of fake and forged letters on social media purporting to suspend the SPLM/A-IO Acting Chairman and Commander-in-Chief.

The leadership and forces of Sector 3 and the 8th Infantry Division categorically reject these alleged suspension letters and consider them illegitimate and without authority.

We reaffirm our unwavering support and stand firmly with the SPLM/A-IO Acting Chairman and Commander-in-Chief, Rt. Hon. Oyet Nathaniel Pierino, and recognize his leadership and authority.

We call upon all members, supporters, and the general public to disregard any fake, forged, or unauthorized documents circulated on social media that are intended to create confusion, division, and instability within the movement.

Sector 3 and the 8th Infantry Division remain united and firmly committed to the leadership of the SPLM/A-IO Acting Chairman and Commander-in-Chief.

On my own behalf, as the Commissioner of Akobo County, and on behalf of the entire people of Akobo County, I extend my profound congratulations to H.E. Maj. Gen. Simon Machiwen Kalang on his appointment as the Governor of Jonglei State.

We warmly welcome and strongly appreciate this significant political decision by the Acting Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of SPLM/A-IO, Rt. Hon. Oyet Nathaniel Pierino. This appointment comes at an important moment when Jonglei State requires decisive leadership, political maturity, unity of purpose, and a clear commitment to the interests of its people.

We believe that the appointment of H.E. Maj. Gen. Simon Machiwen Kalang presents an opportunity to strengthen the political leadership of Jonglei State, consolidate peace and stability, promote inclusive governance, and advance the aspirations of our people. His experience and leadership qualities will be essential in navigating the challenges facing our state and building a stronger and more united Jonglei.

As the people of Akobo County, we stand ready to work with the newly appointed Governor in a spirit of unity, cooperation, mutual respect, and collective responsibility.
