New TNLA Clerk Santino Majak Deng Officially Welcomed by Staff
Juba, South Sudan – The newly appointed Clerk of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA), Mr. Santino Majak Deng, was officially welcomed by staff during a ceremony held earlier today at the Assembly premises.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Randiwo Arkangelo Angelo, Deputy Clerk for Administration and Chair of the Organizing Committee, expressed optimism about the future, stating, “We are committed to working in cooperation to elevate the TNLA to regional standards.”
The outgoing Clerk, Mr. Kuc Makuc Ngong, delivered a heartfelt farewell message, thanking the Rt. Hon. Speaker Jemma Nunu Kumba for her visionary leadership and support throughout his tenure.
“The trust you placed in me energized my service. Your guidance and the freedom you allowed me to innovate have been key to my success,” Mr. Ngong said.
In his remarks, the new Clerk, Mr. Santino Majak Deng, expressed gratitude to the Rt. Hon. Speaker for his appointment. He pledged to work closely with staff and Members of Parliament to fulfill the Assembly’s mandate.
“I look forward to cooperating with all departments to serve this institution effectively,” he said.
Representing the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aweri Phermana, Deputy Speaker for Administration, welcomed the new Clerk and encouraged him to work collaboratively with MPs, staff, and the Assembly leadership.
“If you face any challenges, don’t hesitate to consult with any of the three Deputy Speakers or the Speaker herself,” he advised.
