Representing the NCA-DG, the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Dada Isaac Lemi today participated in the National Engagement Symposium on the National Social Insurance Fund -NSIF held under the theme: โ€œ๐‘ช๐’๐’๐’๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ฐ๐’๐’„๐’๐’–๐’”๐’Š๐’—๐’† ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘บ๐’–๐’”๐’•๐’‚๐’Š๐’๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’๐’† ๐‘บ๐’๐’„๐’Š๐’‚๐’ ๐‘บ๐’†๐’„๐’–๐’“๐’Š๐’•๐’š ๐’Š๐’ ๐‘บ๐’๐’–๐’•๐’‰ ๐‘บ๐’–๐’…๐’‚๐’.โ€ The engagement brought together government institutions and key stakeholders to discuss the readiness and the operationalization of the NSIF Act, 2023.

The symposium highlighted how the Act aims to extend social protection to eligible workers, provide income security after retirement, protect workers against disability and employment injuries, support dependents, and encourage national savings and investment. These measures are designed to improve the well-being and financial security of workers and their families while contributing to national development.

For the NCA, participation in this engagement reflects the importance of cross-sector collaboration in advancing national development. As South Sudan accelerates its digital transformation journey, secure and reliable digital systems will play a vital role in strengthening the NSIF by improving transparency, reducing fraud, eliminating ghost workers and replacing error-prone manual processes. A strong digital system will enable the money contributed to be securely tracked, properly accounted for and efficiently managed, helping ensure that workersโ€™ benefits are protected and delivered with greater confidence.

Today marked the final day of our academic tour program as we welcomed another group of bright final year ICT students from St.Lawrence Academy:Nursery, Primary and Secondary School. Following the same interactive itinerary as yesterdayโ€™s cohort, these future tech leaders explored the practical operations behind keeping the nation connected.

From network management and spectrum control to data center operations and cybersecurity, the students gained valuable insights into the technologies and expertise that keep communications secure and reliable.

Hosting such engaged and passionate young minds over the past two days has been a privilege and we look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the digital space.

Bridging the gap between the classroom and real-world impact, Today, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the bright Ict final year students from St.Lawrence Academy:Nursery, Primary and Secondary School for an interactive academic tour of our NCA technical facilities.

Guided by our technical experts, the students got a hands-on look into how communication towers work, how radio waves and network frequencies are managed and how live cyber threats are monitored in real time. From our network operating center-๐‘ต๐‘ถ๐‘ช and Data Center to Spectrum Management and Computer incident Response team-๐‘ช๐‘ฐ๐‘น๐‘ป, seeing these systems in action showed them exactly what it takes to keep a nation safely connected.

The National Consultative Workshop on the Development of the South Sudan National Cybersecurity Strategy has just drawn to a close, bringing together a diverse group of government institutions, civil society and technical partners.

The final day focused on turning the strategy into action by assessing South Sudan's cybersecurity readiness, defining how institutions will work together, strengthening legal protections against cyber threats and securing commitments from stakeholders to implement the strategy for a safer and more secure digital future.

During the sessions, the experts shared the 5G international best practices and laid down the practical step-by-step roadmap starting from the methodology, work plan, stakeholder engagament approach, governance and the information required to bring reliable, next-generation mobile technology to our country. Instead of just looking at the technical side, the teams focused heavily on critical safeguards like strengthening our national cybersecurity, ensuring high-quality network services for consumers and making it easier for investments to reach our tech sector.

Moving forward, this close collaboration will ensure a solid foundation for the projectโ€™s success as NCA gets closer to unlocking the full potential of 5G technology which will mean faster internet, better connectivity and massive economic growth across different sectors for all South Sudanese citizens.
