I, today met with H.E. Salva Kiir, the president of the Republic of South Sudan to discuss issues of mutual interest and how to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Uganda and South Sudan.

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming H.E. Dr. William Sameo Ruto at Entebbe International Airport. H.E. Dr. Ruto is in Uganda to celebrate the 60th Independence of the Republic of Uganda. 🇺🇬🇰🇪

My wife and I first met the Queen at Statehouse, Entebbe, Uganda during her visit to Uganda in 2007 for CHOGM 2007. We were fortunate to have met her again, when in 2012, we were to be among the few selected guests invited to London, to celebrate her Diamond jubilee, marking 60 years of her reign.
On behalf of our family, It is with profound sadness that I extend my condolences and sympathies on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II to King Charles III and the Royal Family as we stand with the people of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the rest of the world in mourning. 🇺🇬🇬🇧
