The Juba County SPLM Secretariat clarifies that the recent advertisement for the sale of SPLM-branded T-shirts and caps was not a Party fundraising initiative, but an advertisement made on behalf of a private businesswoman and SPLM sympathizer whose business produces SPLM-branded clothing for Party members, supporters, and sympathizers at affordable prices.

The businesswoman visited the Secretariat on 10 August 2026 to congratulate the County leadership on its mobilization, recruitment, and campaign activities ahead of the forthcoming general elections. During the visit, she requested temporary use of the County Secretariatโ€™s media platform to advertise her business and make the attire accessible to Party members. The Secretariat accepted the request as a gesture of goodwill and solely for that purpose.

The Secretariat issued the clarification in response to differing reactions from the public and media, including concerns raised on social media. It appreciates all views and remains committed to transparency, serving Party members and the public, and providing clarification when necessary.

JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN - The Sudan People's Liberation Movement Juba County Secretariat today launched a comprehensive membership registration exercise in Lo'bonok Payam, Yapa Boma, in preparation for the upcoming December 22, 2026 general elections.

The launch event was graced by His Excellency Professor James Wani Igga, Vice President of the Republic and First Deputy Chairman of the SPLM, who emphasized the critical importance of citizen participation in the democratic process and urged all eligible residents of Lo'bonok Payam to register for SPLM membership.

During the ceremony, Comrade George Pitia Stephen, Chairperson of the SPLM Juba County Secretariat, called upon all party members and supporters to unite with a common purpose as they prepare for the December 2026 elections.
