The emphatic win also marked an emotional farewell for club captain George, who officially retires from football after an incredible 29-year journey with Al Ghazala SC. During his time with the club, George helped win numerous trophies and was part of one of South Sudan’s pioneering football teams after independence.

A true club legend bows out in memorable fashion.

From joining the club’s youth academy in 1997 to becoming one of the greatest servants of the senior team since 1999, George dedicated his entire football life to one badge, one city, and one family — Ghazala Wau. 💛🖤
