Building of Clinics and/or Healthcare Facilities is welcomed, But...

The country's efforts towards building of new Clinics and/or Healthcare facilities to improve access to Primary Healthcare is very much welcomed at Union level and by the Nation at large. Indeed the National guideline which prescribes that no one should travel more than 8km radius to access Healthcare would be achieved soonest. To the WHO's 5km radius benchmark, we almost there.

However, the continuous establishment of these Facilities without creation of New Posts to employ Nurses and adequate Nurses Home is unacceptable. This modus operandi results to looting of Nurses from the already over-stretched existing Facilities to operationalize the new wings, worsening staff shortages and burnout to the Nurses in the Facilities. We APPEAL to the Eswatini Government Ministry of Health Eswatini to address this anomaly.
