The Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland enacted the Registration of Architects, Engineers, Surveyors & Allied Professionals Act No 15 of 2013, that provides for the establishment of the Architects, Engineers, Surveyors and Allied Professionals Registration Council. Our Vision

The next stop, yesterday, as the team, (AESAP, Construction Industry Council Eswatini - CIC, and Construction Industry Development Board - CIDB) turned its focus towards major national landmarks driving luxury tourism and business travel – went for a site visit to the iconic Ezulwini Palazzo Hotel & Conference Center.

This mega-project represents a massive leap forward for Eswatini’s economic growth, hospitality sector, and national infrastructure capacity.

As we continue our intensive multi-stakeholder tour to evaluate ongoing infrastructure development in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Today’s focus is on national energy security and mega-projects, with a key site visit to the Lower Maguduza Hydropower Project in Sidvokodvo. This massive E1.3 billion run-of-river project on the Great Usuthu River is a major milestone for Eswatini, designed to increase local power generation capacity by 20% and advance national climate resilience.

Our joint delegation, comprised of The Registration Council for Architects, Engineers, Surveyors and Allied Professionals (AESAP), The Construction Industry Council Eswatini - CIC and Construction Industry Development Board - CIDB (South Africa) is auditing compliance, quality assurance, and engineering standards on-site to ensure the project meets strict regulatory codes for safety and excellence.

The Registration Council for Architects, Engineers, Surveyors And Allied Professionals (AESAP)’s Council board members, Chief Executive Officer, and dedicated staff are on the move this morning, heading out for a critical day of cross-border collaboration and high-impact site visits across the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Today, our team is connecting directly with the Construction Industry Council Eswatini - CIC and a visiting delegation from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) South Africa.

This powerful joint initiative focuses on:

📢 Progress and Partnership: AESAP and CIC Tour the Mpakeni Dam.

We are proud to share a major milestone in Eswatini’s infrastructure growth! Here are some of the pictures from the joint site tour of the Mpakeni Dam today - 1st June 2026.

As one of the largest and most ambitious projects currently underway in the country, this monumental E2.6 billion development is a testament to what we can achieve when industry and government align.

Why This Matters for Eswatini:

• 🌍 Strategic Mandates: Our mandates collaborate directly with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to ensure structural integrity, safety, and sustainable national development.

• 💧 National Growth: Implemented under the Mkhondvo–Ngwavuma Water Augmentation Programme (EWADE), this dam will drastically improve water security, boost Shiselweni's agricultural output, and create vital local jobs.
