Eswatini Library and Information Association,
My name is Ina Smith, and I am a project manager at the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf). At the same time I am also an Ambassador for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) for southern Africa, a non-profit, global initiative which reviews open access scholarly journals, and maintains a directory of trusted, high quality open access scholarly journals. This is done on a voluntary basis as part of contributing to advancing open access to quality research information globally.
This email to reach out to you to invite you to work with us to identify scholarly journals in Eswatini, and to reach out to editors of these journals to consider attending the online webinars below. Currently limited journal titles from Eswatini are available through DOAJ, which skews the data. We would very much like to correct this, and to work with yourselves, librarians, and scholarly journal editors/publishers to correct this, and showcase what we have as an African continent. I am positive visibility through DOAJ would increase the usage and impact of Eswatini journals, and am willing to provide support where and if needed.
A kind request to consider this invitation to collaborate, and to share the invitation below with all librarians, publishers and journal editors in Eswatini? It would be of incredible value and benefit all in so many ways.
I am looking very much forward hearing from you. Thank you in advance for your positive response.
With kind regards,
Ina Smith
