The Exchange Research Program in Thailand
1. Objectives of the exchange research:
Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), in cooperation with the ASEAN Research and Training Center for Space Technology and Applications (ARTSA), offers short-term international joint research based in Thailand. While participating in this program, researchers will be able to undertake this research and experience new knowledge, skills, and career development perspectives. In additional research, network activities occur as your benefits. The themes, contents, and aims of this research will be on the following topics:
1) Rice Yield Estimation
2) Methane Measurement Based on Satellite
2. What are the function and job specifications?
1. Data Preparation (Remote Sensing Data / Climate Data / Rice Yield Data)
2. Data Processing, Analysis, Modeling (Rice Yield Data; ORYZA, DSSAT, or AQUACROP)
3. Research summary (Report / Presentation / Discussions)
3. Eligibility:
Master's degree, equivalent, or higher in geoinformatics, remote sensing, geophysics,agriculture, allied subjects, or related fields
Experiences in research, or professional experience in the field of geoinformatics or related fields. (Especially in Rice yield model (ORYZA, DSSAT, or AQUACROP )

The applicant must be a government official, institution representative, business sector representative, university lecturer, or researcher.
The applicant must be a national of an ASEAN member state.
4. Number of Researchers:
1 Researcher per 1 topic / project
5. Funding covers:
This exchange research program is fully funded by GISTDA, which takes care of your air ticket(s) (round trips) and accommodation. As part of our research, you may undertake research in Thailand with ARTSA and GISTDA experts for one month.
6. Date & Venue:
Venue: GISTDA Training Center, Bang Khen, Bangkok, Thailand.
Date: August 5 - 30, 2024
