Those who are single prefer to travel abroad ✈️, while families love to go to the seaside towns located in the Northern part of the country, at shore of the Baltic Sea. 👙🏖️

Poland-Thailand Business Forum has officially finished!

⭐️Important key takeaways:

Trade between Poland and Thailand is quickly increasing (1.2 billion USD in 2020, 1.5 billion USD in 2021, and on track to reach 1.9 billion USD in 2022). 📈

🤝 It is clearly a two-way relationship (Polish exports to Thailand increased by 42% in 2021, while Thai exports to Poland increased by 26%). All of this occurred during a particularly tumultuous pandemic year. 🦠

The festival's Marek Nowicki Prize 🏆 is presented each year to a documentary filmmaker for excellent achievement in showing human rights in film. In addition to screenings, WATCH DOCS hosts a slew of events, including Q&A sessions and debates with filmmakers, experts, activists, journalists, and politicians. 🌟

St. Andrew’s day is celebrated in Poland from the evening of 29th November through to 30th.

Traditionally, it is believed that St Andrew, or Andrzejki (pronounced an-dzey-ki), can advise young unmarried women about the choice of their future husband.

Today, single men also join in the fun to see their futures - it’s common for young people to get together with friends to party. 🌈🥂

Here are some traditional St Andrew’s Day practices from Poland:

🕯️ Pouring hot wax into cold water through a hole in an old key. The shape that the wax takes is thought to represent an event that will happen to you in the next year.

🩰 Lining up the shoes from the wall to the front door. This is a girls-only activity. The woman whose shoe is the first to reach the door will be the first to marry.

These activities are just a few for girls. However, everyone still celebrates together. 🥳

The floods caused catastrophic losses throughout the affected areas, causing an estimated 12 billion zlotys in damage. 🌊

The cinema industry has been one of Poland's most successful markets in the 21st century, attracting record audience numbers in the last decade. 🎥

Between 2010 and 2019, the Polish film industry saw consistent development and growth in new cinema openings. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused this number to fall for the first time.

In 2020, the country offered 511 cinemas to locals and visitors, with domestic productions accounting for more than 30% of all screenings.🎬
