สหรัฐฯ และไทยร่วมกวาดล้างศูนย์หลอกลวงทางออนไลน์: แคช พาเทล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานสืบสวนกลางสหรัฐฯ (FBI) และสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติของไทย ได้ร่วมกันจัดการประชุม Regional Summit on Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime โดยมีผู้แทนกว่า 100 คนจาก 18 ประเทศเข้าร่วม เพื่อมุ่งจัดการภัยคุกคามจากศูนย์หลอกลวงทางออนไลน์ข้ามชาติอย่างจริงจัง ผู้อำนวยการพาเทล้กล่าวขอบคุณประเทศไทยที่ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมครั้งนี้ และย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของสหรัฐฯ ในการทำงานร่วมกับไทยและพันธมิตรรายอื่น ๆ เพื่อกวาดล้างศูนย์หลอกลวงทางออนไลน์จากภูมิภาคนี้
เครือข่ายอาชญากรรมเหล่านี้หลอกลวงเงินมูลค่าหลายพันล้านจากชาวอเมริกันในแต่ละปี อีกทั้งยังทำให้ปัญหาการบังคับใช้แรงงานและการแสวงประโยชน์ทั่วภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ทวีความรุนแรงขึ้น ซึ่งทำให้เรื่องนี้กลายเป็นการต่อสู้ร่วมกันของเราทุกคน การพูดคุยหารือในการประชุมครั้งสำคัญนี้จะปูทางสู่ปฏิบัติการระดับทวิภาคีและพหุภาคีในอนาคต เพื่อเสริมสร้างการปกป้องพลเมืองอเมริกัน ตลอดจนผู้คนทั่วโลก จากภัยคุกคามที่แพร่ระบาดนี้

America and Thailand cracking down on scam centers, together. FBI Director Kash Patel and the Royal Thai Police convened over 100 representatives from 18 countries at the Regional Summit on Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime, tackling the transnational scam center threat head-on. FBI Director Patel thanked Thailand co-hosting the summit and reiterated America’s commitment to working with Thailand and our other partners to eradicate scam centers across the region.
These criminal networks defraud Americans out of billions each year while fueling forced labor and exploitation across Southeast Asia — making this a shared fight. The conversations during this impactful summit will pave the way for future bilateral and multilateral operations to better protect not just American citizens, but people worldwide from this pervasive threat.
By strengthening coordination with Thailand and our international partners, we're building the intelligence-sharing and joint enforcement capacity needed to dismantle these operations at the source. The result: safer communities in America, and a stronger, more secure Thailand free from the scourge of scam compounds.
