Violence against women and girls should never be tolerated. For women prisoners and offenders, we hope further implementation of "The Bangkok Rules" (A/RES/65/229) will bring positive change in their lives and in the world.

แม้ว่าปัจจุบัน จำนวนคนที่เหยียบทุ่นระเบิดในแต่ละปีจะน้อยลงเมื่อเทียบกับเมื่อ 10 ปีก่อน แต่ว่า ขาเทียมแต่ละชิ้น มีอายุอยู่ได้ราว ๆ 2-3 ปี ผู้พิการขาเทียมที่เกิดอุบัติเหตุจากทุ่นระเบิดก็จะต้องมาเปลี่ยนอย่างสม่ำเสมอ โรงพยาบาลเองก็จะต้องมีความพร้อมในเรื่องของ การช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุบัติเหตุ ซึ่งโรงพยาบาลตามชายแดนของไทยนั้น ให้ความช่วยเหลือโดยไม่เลือกสัญชาติของผู้ป่วย
จำนวนผู้เสียชีวิตจากทุ่นระเบิดในแต่ละปีในประเทศไทย

รู้หรือไม่? ประเทศไทยมีพื้นที่ๆ มี "ทุ่นระเบิด" (landmines) อยู่ 2,557 ตร.กม. ปัจจุบันเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดไปได้แล้วราว ๆ 78% ที่เหลืออีกกว่า 500 ตร.กม. ยังคงมีทุ่นระเบิดอยู่! ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่รัฐบาลกำลังพยายามผลักดัน เร่งหางบประมาณและเงินทุนสนับสนุนในการเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดเหล่านี้ ที่ต้องใช้ความชำนาญและเงินทุ่นอย่างมาก
