प्रेस विज्ञप्तिः भानु जयन्ती कार्यक्रम २०८३ बैंककमा सम्पन्न
थाइल्याण्डमा बशोवास गर्ने नेपाली समुदायका युवा पुस्तामा नेपाली भाषा, साहित्य, कला तथा संस्कृति प्रतिको लगाव बढाउन तथा नेपाली भाषा-संस्कृतिको संरक्षण, संवर्द्धन र प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने उद्देश्यका साथ नेपाली राजदूतावास, बैंककको आयोजना तथा थाइल्याण्डस्थित विभिन्न नेपाली सामाजिक, साहित्यिक तथा सांस्कृतिक संघ-संस्थाहरूको सहकार्यमा आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्यको २१३औँ जन्मजयन्ती कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरियो । उक्त कार्यक्रममा थाइल्याण्डमा रहेका करिब २५० भन्दा बढी नेपाली समुदायका सदस्य, साहित्यकार, बुद्धिजीवी, विद्यार्थी, व्यवसायी तथा विभिन्न संघसंस्थाका प्रतिनिधिहरूको उत्साहजनक सहभागिता रहेको थियो।
नेपाली राजदूतावास सँगै गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघ (NRNA) थाइल्याण्ड, थाई नेपाली संघ, पीपुल अफ नेपाली ओरिजिन (PNO), थाई-नेपाली फ्रेन्डसिप एशोसिएसन, वेस्टर्न युनियन, मगर गुरुङ संघ, तामाङ समाज, नेवार संघ, किरात साहित्यिक एवं सांस्कृतिक समाज, नेपाल एयरलाइन्स लगायतका संघ-संस्था तथा विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वहरूसंगको सहकार्यमा थाइल्याण्डमा तेस्रो भानु जयन्ती कार्यक्रम उत्सवका रूपमा सम्पन्न भएको हो।
महामहिम राजदूत श्री धनबहादुर वलीले आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्यको तस्बिरमा माल्यार्पण, नेपाल तथा थाइल्याण्ड दुवै देशको राष्ट्रिय गान प्रस्तुत गरी कार्यक्रम औपचारिक रूपमा प्रारम्भ भएको थियो। कार्यक्रम व्यवस्थापन समिति अध्यक्ष श्री मुन गुरुङले आफ्नो स्वागत मन्तव्यमा भानु जयन्ती नेपाली समुदायलाई भाषा, साहित्य र संस्कृतिको साझा सूत्रमा बाँध्ने महत्वपूर्ण अवसर भएको उल्लेख गर्नुभयो।
यस वर्षको कार्यक्रमको प्रमुख आकर्षणका रूपमा विभिन्न उमेर समुह तथा खुल्ला कविता प्रतियोगिता तथा कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिताहरू, विशिष्ट साहित्यकारहरूद्वारा कविता वाचन, पुस्तक लोकार्पण, वर्ष व्यक्तित्व २०८३ सम्मान रहेका थिए। प्रतियोगितामा थाइल्याण्डमा बसोबास गर्ने नेपाली समुदायबाट उल्लेखनीय संख्यामा मौलिक कविताहरू प्राप्त भएका थिए। प्राप्त कविताहरूको प्रारम्भिक मूल्याङ्कन पश्चात उत्कृष्ट रचनाहरूलाई अन्तिम प्रतिस्पर्धाका लागि छनोट गरिएको थियो। प्रतियोगिताका सबै समुहमा साहित्यिक गुणस्तर, मौलिकता, भाव, भाषा, प्रस्तुति तथा वाचनकलालाई आधार बनाई मूल्याङ्कन गरिएको थियो।
कार्यक्रमका लागि नेपालका वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार तथा समीक्षकहरू श्री शेखर गिरी (अध्यक्ष, साझा प्रकाशन), श्रीमती रीता खत्री (अध्यक्ष, विश्व नेपाली वाङ्मय प्रतिष्ठान), श्री कृष्ण प्रसाईं (अध्यक्ष, जरा फाउन्डेसन नेपाल), श्रीमती मोमिला जोशी (अध्यक्ष, नेपाली कलासाहित्य डटकम प्रतिष्ठान), डा. बिन्दु शर्मा (सदस्य, विश्व नेपाली वाङ्मय प्रतिष्ठान) तथा कवि तिलक पोखरेल र कवि भीम पाण्डे निर्णायक मण्डलमा रहनुभएको थियो। उहाँहरूले प्रतियोगिता तथा प्रकाशनका लागि प्राप्त करिब ८० वटा कविताको सम्पादन, मूल्याङ्कन तथा प्रतियोगितामा प्रस्तुत भएका कविताहरूको मूल्याङ्कन गर्नुभएको थियो।

कविता प्रतियोगिताको नतिजा निम्न अनुसार रहेको थियो।

प्रतियोगिताका प्रत्येक विधामा प्रथम हुनेलाई थाई भाट ५,०००, द्वितीय हुनेलाई थाई भाट ३,००० तथा तृतीय हुनेलाई थाई भाट २,००० नगद पुरस्कार, सम्मानपत्र तथा मायाको चिनो प्रदान गरिएको थियो।

श्री भारती लिम्बुनीः वर्ष ब्यक्तित्व २०८३ बाट सम्मानीत
यस वर्षको कार्यक्रममा विशेष आकर्षणका रूपमा "वर्ष व्यक्तित्व २०८३" सम्मान प्रदान गरिएको थियो। म्यानमारमा जन्मनुभएकी तथा विगत करिब पच्चीस वर्षदेखि थाइल्याण्डमा शिक्षण तथा सामाजिक सेवामार्फत नेपाली भाषा, साहित्य, संस्कृति र नेपाली समुदायको उत्थानमा निरन्तर योगदान पुर्‍याउँदै आउनुभएकी नेपाली मूलकी विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्व श्री भारती लिम्बुनीलाई दोसल्ला, सम्मानपत्र, थाईभाट पाँचहजार तथा मायाको चिनोसहित सम्मान गरिएको थियो। म्यानमारमा समेत करिब २५ वर्ष शिक्षण सेवामा समर्पित रहनुभएकी उहाँ नेपाली तथा थाई समाजमा समान रूपमा सम्मानित व्यक्तित्वका रूपमा परिचित हुनुहुन्छ।
कार्यक्रममा चार महत्वपूर्ण कृतिहरूको संयुक्त रूपमा लोकार्पण गरिएको थियो। ती कृतिहरूमा २१३औँ भानु जयन्तीको अवसरमा प्रकाशित "भानु–२०८३", कवयित्री श्रीमती रीता खत्रीद्वारा लिखित कविता सङ्ग्रह "बाँच्नेहरूका नाममा", कवि श्री तिलक पोखरेलद्वारा लिखित कविता सङ्ग्रह "आनन्द उपहार", तथा जरा फाउन्डेसन नेपालका अध्यक्ष श्री कृष्ण प्रसाईंद्वारा लिखित कविता सङ्ग्रह "घामको वर्षा" को थाई भाषामा अनूदित संस्करण रहेका थिए। यस अवसरमा नेपाली साहित्यलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समुदायसम्म पुर्‍याउने दिशामा अनुवादको महत्वपूर्ण भूमिकाबारे पनि चर्चा गरिएको थियो। कार्यक्रममा प्रकाशित "भानु–२०८३" पुस्तकमा

थाइल्याण्डमा नेपाली स्रष्टाहरूका कविताहरु, नेपाली समाजको इतिहास, तथा साहित्यिक सामग्रीहरू समेटिएको छ। यसैगरी कार्यक्रममा थाईल्याण्डका लागि नेपाली राजदूत महामहिम श्री धन बहादुर व़लीद्वारा रचना गरिएको गित “त्यहीँ हुन्छ नेपाल” पनि लोकार्पण गरिएको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा नेपालका विशिष्ट साहित्यकारहरू तथा अतिथिहरूले आफ्ना सिर्जनाहरू वाचन गर्दै नेपाली साहित्यको समृद्ध परम्परा, मातृभाषाप्रतिको दायित्व तथा प्रवासमा नेपाली भाषाको संरक्षणमा साहित्यको भूमिकाबारे विचार व्यक्त गर्नुभएको थियो। कार्यक्रमा कविता वाचन, साहित्यिक संवाद तथा सांस्कृतिक आत्मीयताले विशेष वातावरण सिर्जना गरेको थियो।
कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै महामहिम राजदूत श्री धन बहादुर वलीले आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्यले नेपाली भाषा र यसको विस्तारमा गरेको योगदानको उल्लेख गर्नुभयो। उहाँले विविध मातृभाषा र संस्कृतिमा समृद्ध नेपाली समाजमा भानुभक्तले नेपाली भाषालाई सबै नेपाली समुदायलाई भाषिक रूपमा जोडदै साझा भाषिक सूत्रमा बाँध्ने ऐतिहासिक काममा योगदान पुर्‍याएको स्मरण गर्नुभयो। भानु जयन्ती केवल एक साहित्यिक उत्सव मात्र नभई विश्वभर छरिएर रहेका नेपालीहरूको साझा पहिचान, नेपालका मातृभाषा, नेपाली भाषा, संस्कृति, र भावनात्मक सम्बन्धलाई थप सुदृढ बनाउने अवसर रहेको कुरामा जोड दिनुभयो।
महामहिम राजदूतले विशेष गरी विदेशमा जन्मिएका र हुर्किरहेका नयाँ पुस्तालाई नेपाली भाषा, आफ्ना मातृभाषा र संस्कृति सिकाउने दायित्व सम्पूर्ण नेपाली समुदायको साझा जिम्मेवारी भएको उल्लेख गर्दै मातृभाषा, साहित्य र संस्कृतिको संरक्षणबाट मात्र नेपाली पहिचान दीर्घकालसम्म जीवित रहन सक्ने धारणा व्यक्त गर्नुभयो। उहाँले नेपाली राजदूतावासले थाइल्याण्डमा नेपाली भाषा, मातृभाषा, साहित्य, कला तथा संस्कृतिको संरक्षण र प्रवर्द्धनका यस्ता कार्यक्रमहरूलाई आगामी दिनमा समेत निरन्तरता दिने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्दै सहकार्य गर्ने सम्पूर्ण संघसंस्था, निर्णायक मण्डल, सहभागी कवि-कवयित्री, स्वयंसेवक, प्रायोजक तथा उपस्थित सम्पूर्ण नेपाली समुदायप्रति हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त गर्नुभयो। कार्यक्रमका केही झलकहरु र प्रकाशन भएको पुस्तक यसैसाथ संलग्न गरिएको छ।

Press Release: Bilateral Meeting between Ambassador of Nepal and Permanent Secretary of Cambodia

His Excellency Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a meeting with Her Excellency Mrs. Eat Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Personal Advisor to the Prime Minister, at her office in Phnom Penh on the morning of 6 July 2026, today.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed various ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. His Excellency Ambassador Oli expressed his sincere appreciation to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its invaluable support in rescuing Nepali nationals from online scam compounds in Cambodia.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in combating human trafficking, online scam operations, cybercrime, and other forms of transnational organized crime through closer coordination among the relevant agencies of the two countries. They also agreed to enhance collaboration in preventing such crimes, protecting vulnerable individuals from trafficking and online exploitation, and promoting intelligence and information sharing, as well as capacity building.

The Permanent Secretary highly commended Nepal for successfully organizing a free eye treatment camp in Kampong Cham Province from 4 to 5 July 2026 through the joint efforts of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangha and the Lumbini Eye Institute and Research Center (Rana-Ambika Eye Hospital), in collaboration with Cambodian partners. Both sides agreed to explore expanded cooperation in eye care and public health. Ambassador Oli expressed Nepal's readiness to extend cooperation by providing training and other necessary technical assistance to strengthen Cambodia's capacity in the field of eye health. He also expressed Nepal's readiness to organize another advanced eye treatment camp in the near future, noting the overwhelming demand for such services among the people of Cambodia.

The two dignitaries also expressed their strong commitment to enhancing economic and trade cooperation by building on the complementarities between the two countries. They agreed that appropriate bilateral agreements and institutional frameworks would facilitate greater trade, investment, and economic collaboration. In addition, both sides agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture, tourism and other areas of mutual benefit.

Highlighting the immense tourism potential between the two countries, they underscored the importance of promoting Buddhist and cultural tourism by strengthening links between Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha, and Angkor Wat, Cambodia's world-renowned cultural and religious heritage site. They noted that enhanced tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges would further reinforce the longstanding bonds of friendship between Nepal and Cambodia.

Both sides emphasized the importance of convening the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and Cambodia at an early date as an effective platform to review existing cooperation and identify new avenues for collaboration across a wide range of sectors.

The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the longstanding friendship between Nepal and the Kingdom of Cambodia and the shared commitment of both sides to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.

PRESS RELEASE: Organization of Free Eye Treatment Camp from 4 to 5 July 2026 in Kampong Cham Province, Kingdom of Cambodia
The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, which is concurrently accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia, organized a Free Eye Treatment Camp on 4–5 July 2026 at the Provincial Hospital in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, in collaboration with Lumbini Eye Institute and Research Center (Rana-Ambika Eye Hospital, Lumbini) and Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangha.
The Eye Treatment Camp was jointly inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Mr. Un Chanda, Governor of Kampong Cham Province. The Eye Camp aims to provide free eye screening, treatment, and consultation services to the people of Kampong Cham Province while contributing to enhanced cooperation between Nepal and Cambodia in the field of health care. Around 1,500 Cambodian nationals are expected to benefit from the Eye Camp.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Oli paid a courtesy call on H.E. Governor Un Chanda at the Governor's Office. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in public health, medical education, healthcare services, capacity building, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices between Nepal and Cambodia. They emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional partnerships that would contribute to improving healthcare systems and promoting the well-being of the people of both countries.
The Governor of Kampong Cham Province highlighted the province's commitment to expanding international cooperation in healthcare and welcomed closer engagement with Nepal in areas of mutual interest. He expressed confidence that cooperation between provincial institutions and Nepali counterparts would create new opportunities for professional exchanges and community-based health initiatives.
His Excellency Ambassador Oli expressed His sincere appreciation to H.E. Governor Un Chanda for his invaluable support and leadership in facilitating the successful organization of the camp. Ambassador Oli also acknowledged the excellent cooperation of the Provincial Hospital, Kampong Cham, in hosting and implementing the program.
As part of the continued partnership, both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation through capacity-building initiatives, including professional training and exposure opportunities for Cambodian doctors and medical personnel at Lumbini Eye Institute and Research Center in Nepal.
The Embassy extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Cambodia, the Kampong Cham Chamber of Commerce, Lumbini Eye Institute and Research Center, Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangha, the Provincial Hospital, Kampong Cham, and all doctors, medical professionals, volunteers, and supporting staff whose dedication and commitment made this initiative possible.
