เมื่อวันที่ 24 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบกับนาย Indrika Ratwatte รักษาการผู้ช่วยเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติสำหรับกิจการด้านมนุษยธรรมและรองผู้ประสานงานด้านการบรรเทาทุกข์ฉุกเฉินสำนักงานเพื่อการประสานงานด้านมนุษยธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (OCHA) ในโอกาสเยือนไทย

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นและประสบการณ์ของไทยและ OCHA ในเรื่องการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมที่สำคัญในภูมิภาค ความปลอดภัยของเจ้าหน้าที่ที่ปฏิบัติงานด้านมนุษยธรรมในพื้นที่ และการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมที่รวดเร็วและทันต่อสถานการณ์ รวมถึงความจำเป็นในการประสานงานกับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียทุกภาคส่วน รวมถึงการจัดการหลังเกิดเหตุภัยพิบัติอย่างทันท่วงที

รองเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติได้แสดงความชื่นชมบทบาทของไทยทั้งในด้านการให้ความช่วยเหลือประเทศในภูมิภาคเพื่อรับมือกับภัยพิบัติ และบทบาทในการเป็นตัวกลางระหว่างอาเซียนกับเมียนมา นอกจากนี้ ยังหวังว่าฝ่ายไทยจะสามารถสนับสนุน OCHA ในการส่งทีมปฏิบัติการฉุกเฉินทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขในภาวะภัยพิบัติ และทีมค้นหาและกู้ภัยในเขตเมือง ไปร่วมภารกิจด้านมนุษยธรรมในภูมิภาคและทั่วโลกด้วย

On 24 July 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Mr. Indrika Ratwatte, Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on the occasion of his visit to Thailand.

Both sides exchanged views and shared the experiences of Thailand and OCHA on key humanitarian responses in the region, the safety and security of humanitarian personnel in the field, and the timely delivery of humanitarian assistance as well as the need to ensure the inclusion of all relevant stakeholders and the the importance of swift post-disaster response.

Acting Assistant Secretary-General commended Thailand for its important role in providing assistance to countries in the region responding to disasters and in facilitating engagement between ASEAN and Myanmar. Furthermore, the Acting Assistant Secretary-General expressed the hope that Thailand would be able to support OCHA by deploying its Emergency Medical Teams and Urban Search and Rescue teams to participate in humanitarian operations in the region and worldwide.

้างด้วยกัน ชวนร่วมตระหนักถึงบทบาทของ “เจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่า” ผู้ดูแลผืนป่า สัตว์ป่า และระบบนิเวศ ซึ่งเป็นรากฐานของความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ แหล่งต้นน้ำ และคุณภาพชีวิตของพวกเราทุกคน

🌿 สมาพันธ์ผู้พิทักษ์ป่าระหว่างประเทศ (International Ranger Federation: IRF) กำหนดวันเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่าโลกขึ้น เพื่อรำลึกถึงเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่าที่เสียสละในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ และเชิดชูผู้ที่อุทิศตนดูแลธรรมชาติให้คงอยู่สำหรับคนรุ่นต่อไป

invites everyone to recognize the important role of “rangers” who protect forests, wildlife, and ecosystems — the foundations of biodiversity, water sources, and the quality of life for us all.

🌿 World Ranger Day was established by the International Ranger Federation (IRF) to commemorate rangers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to honor those dedicated to protecting nature for future generations.

🌏 Rangers play an essential role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15: Life on Land, and in achieving the 30×30 target under the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which aims to conserve at least 30% of the world's land and oceans by 2030.

In this year, Thailand is hosting “World Ranger Day 2026” at Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, which forms part of the D**g Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

29 กรกฎาคม “วันอนุรักษ์เสือโคร่งโลก (Global Tiger Day)” 🐯

3 เรื่องน่ารู้เกี่ยวกับเสือโคร่งไทยที่สะท้อนความสำเร็จของไทยบนเวทีโลกและความท้าทายของการอนุรักษ์

1️⃣ ไทยได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็น “Champion ด้านการอนุรักษ์เสือโคร่งในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้”
ด้วยความสำเร็จในการฟื้นฟูประชากรเสือโคร่งและการอนุรักษ์ถิ่นอาศัย จากการประชุม Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conservation ณ ราชอาณาจักรภูฏาน

2️⃣ ประชากรเสือโคร่งไทยมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น
ข้อมูลปี 2567 ของกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช ระบุว่า ไทยมีเสือโคร่งในธรรมชาติประมาณ 179-223 ตัว และมีจำนวนเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่ป่าตะวันตกซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในแหล่งอาศัยสำคัญของเสือโคร่งในภูมิภาค

3️⃣ ความสำเร็จที่ยังต้องเดินหน้าต่อ
แม้ไทยจะมีจำนวนเสือโคร่งในธรรมชาติเพิ่มขึ้น แต่ยังมีเสือโคร่งภายใต้การเลี้ยงดูหรือครอบครองกว่า 1,400 ตัวที่ไม่ได้อาศัยอยู่ในธรรมชาติ แสดงให้เห็นว่าการอนุรักษ์และการป้องกันการค้าสัตว์ป่าผิดกฎหมายยังเป็นความท้าทายที่ต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วน

🚨 เมื่อคนกับธรรมชาติต้องเติบโตไปด้วยกัน การรักษาเสือโคร่งจึงไม่ใช่แค่การปกป้องสัตว์ป่า แต่คือการรักษาผืนป่าที่เป็นบ้านของสิ่งมีชีวิต และเป็นรากฐานชีวิตของพวกเราทุกคน

Three facts about Thailand’s tigers that reflect the country’s achievements on the global stage, while highlighting the ongoing challenges of tiger conservation.

1️⃣ Thailand is recognized as “Southeast Asian Tiger Conservation Champion.”
for its success in restoring wild tiger populations and protecting tiger habitats at the Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conservation meeting in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

2️⃣ Thailand’s wild tiger population is growing.
According to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, in 2024, Thailand is home to an estimated 179–223 wild tigers. The population continues to increase, particularly in the Western Forest Complex—one of the region’s most important tiger habitats.

3️⃣ Progress made, but more work remains.
While Thailand’s wild tiger population continues to recover, more than 1,400 tigers remain in captivity, highlighting that wildlife conservation and the fight against illegal wildlife trade still require continued cooperation from all sectors.

🚨 As people and nature thrive together, protecting tigers is about more than safeguarding a species—it is about protecting the forests that are home to countless forms of life and sustain all of us.

เมื่อวันที่ 17 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับประธานและรองประธานคณะมนตรีเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (ECOSOC) ในโอกาสเดินทางเข้าร่วมการประชุมเวทีหารือทางการเมืองระดับสูงว่าด้วยการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ประจำปี ค.ศ. 2026 (High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2026: HLPF 2026) ซึ่งจะขึ้น ระหว่างวันที่ 13 - 16 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่สหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก เพื่อขอรับการสนับสนุนการลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งเป็นสมาชิก ECOSOC ของไทย วาระปี ค.ศ. 2029 - 2031 และแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับประเด็นสำคัญภายใต้กรอบ ECOSOC

ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีฯ ได้หารือกับนาย Lok Bahadur Thapa เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรเนปาลประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครนิวยอร์ก ในฐานะประธาน ECOSOC คนปัจจุบัน โดยที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีฯ ชื่นชมบทบาทนำของเนปาลในฐานะประธาน ECOSOC โดยเฉพาะการผลักดันวาระของประเทศพัฒนาน้อยที่สุด การเงินเพื่อการพัฒนา และการรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ พร้อมทั้งหารือถึงแนวทางที่ ECOSOC จะสามารถเสริมสร้างบทบาทด้านการประสานงานของระบบสหประชาชาติด้านการพัฒนา และสนับสนุนให้การดำเนินงานตาม SDGs เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่เป็นรูปธรรมมากขึ้น ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือการสนับสนุนซึ่งกันและกันในวาระอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง

On 17 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the President and Vice-President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on the sidelines of the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2026), held during 13 - 16 July 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. During the meetings, the Advisor sought support for Thailand’s candidature to ECOSOC for the 2029–2031 term and exchanged views on key issues under the ECOSOC agenda.

The Advisor met with H.E. Mr. Lok Bahadur Thapa, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations in New York and current President of ECOSOC. The Advisor commended Nepal’s leadership as ECOSOC President, particularly in advancing the agenda of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), financing for development, and climate resilience. They also discussed ways to strengthen ECOSOC’s coordinating role across the United Nations development system and support more tangible progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The two sides further exchanged views on supporting each other on other related agenda items.

The Advisor also met with H.E. Mr. Amar Bendjama, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations in New York, Vice-President of ECOSOC and incoming President of ECOSOC for the term from 31 July 2026 to 31 July 2027. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Mr. Lounes Magramane, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria. On this occasion, the Advisor expressed Thailand’s readiness to support Algeria’s role as the next President of ECOSOC and reaffirmed the importance of working together to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On 14 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a working lunch in honour of heads of delegation and high-level representatives from African countries, namely Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Lesotho, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Togo, on the sidelines of the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2026), held from 13 - 16 July 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The working lunch was aimed at providing an opportunity to strengthen partnership between Thailand and Africa as well as to seek support for Thailand’s candidature to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the term 2029 - 2031.

The Advisor emphasized that the African region is important for Thailand as it is a long-term friend and partner with a shared vision of advancing sustainable development through a people-centred approach. Thailand relaunched the Thailand - Africa Initiative (TAI) in December 2025 to strengthen its partnership with Africa across four key areas: political, economic, development, and global strategic cooperation. He also sought support for Thailand’s candidature to the ECOSOC for the term 2029 - 2031, emphasizing Thailand’s commitment to help make the ECOSOC more coherent, relevant, inclusive, and action-oriented so that sustainable development delivers tangible results for the people. He also invited African countries to participate in the 2026 IMF - World Bank Group Annual Meetings, which Thailand will host in Bangkok this October.

เมื่อวันที่ 13 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ นำคณะผู้แทนไทยเข้าร่วมเวทีหารือทางการเมืองระดับสูงว่าด้วยการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ประจำปี ค.ศ. 2026 (High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2026: HLPF2026) ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 13 - 16 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่สหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก ภายใต้หัวข้อหลัก “Delivering better: accelerating urgent and transformative action to achieve the SDGs by 2030” ซึ่งเป็นเวทีสำคัญประจำปีของสหประชาชาติที่มุ่งติดตามและเร่งรัดการดำเนินการตามวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ค.ศ. 2030 และเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของประเทศต่าง ๆ

ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีฯ กล่าวถ้อยแถลงในช่วงการอภิปรายทั่วไปของการประชุมฯ โดยย้ำว่า การขับเคลื่อนการบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนไม่ได้หมายถึงการต้องเริ่มต้นหรือคิดค้นทุกอย่างขึ้นใหม่ แต่คือการต่อยอดและยกระดับสิ่งที่ดำเนินการอยู่แล้วให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่ดียิ่งขึ้น โดยเน้น 3 ด้านสำคัญ ได้แก่ (1) การทำงานอย่างบูรณาการและสอดคล้องกันทั้งภาครัฐและทุกภาคส่วนของสังคม (2) การขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนต้องเป็นธรรมและครอบคลุม โดยยึดประชาชนเป็นศูนย์กลางและส่งเสริมให้ท้องถิ่นและชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดและขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาที่ตอบโจทย์พื้นที่ของตน และ (3) การเสริมสร้างปัจจัยสนับสนุนการดำเนินงาน โดยเฉพาะการเงินเพื่อการพัฒนา ทั้งยังย้ำว่า การประชุมระดับผู้นำว่าด้วยเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนที่จะจัดขึ้นในปี 2570 (SDG Summit 2027) ควรเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการทบทวนความก้าวหน้า เรียนรู้จากสิ่งที่ได้ผล และกำหนดแนวทางที่ชัดเจนเพื่อเร่งรัดการบรรลุ SDGs ในช่วงเวลาที่เหลือจนถึงปี ค.ศ. 2030 และวางรากฐานสำหรับการดำเนินงานในระยะต่อไป

On 13 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Thai delegation to the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF2026), held on 13 - 16 July 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York under the theme “Delivering better: accelerating urgent and transformative action to achieve the SDGs by 2030”. The HLPF is the United Nations’ key annual platform for reviewing progress and accelerating implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Advisor delivered a statement during the General Debate of the meeting, emphasizing that achieving the SDGs does not require reinventing the wheel, but rather building on existing efforts to deliver better results. He highlighted three key areas of action: (1) promoting integrated and coherent action through whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches; (2) ensuring that SDG implementation is equitable, inclusive and people-centred, while enabling local communities to participate in shaping and driving development that responds to their own needs and local contexts; and (3) strengthening the means of implementation, particularly financing for development.
