ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมโปรตุเกสก่อตั้งขึ้นใน ปี พ.ศ. 2536 ปัจจุบันตั้งอยู่ในสถานทูตโปรตุเกส แต่เดิมสำนักงานดังกล่าวตั้งอยู่ภายในบ้านพักเอกอัครราชทูต และย้ายมายังอาคารสำนักงานที่บูรณะใหม่เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2547
ที่ดินบริเวณที่ตั้งของสถานทูตโปรตุเกสนั้นถือว่าเป็นที่ทำการสถานทูตที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย ในปี พ.ศ.2363 พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย รัชกาลที่ 2 พระราชทาน
ที่ดินดังกล่าวแก่ประเทศโปรตุเกส เพื่อให้ก่อตั้งโรงงานและเพื่อเป็นนิเวศสถานของการ์โลส มานูเอล ดา ซิลเวรา กงสุลโปรตุเกสประจำประเทศไทยคนแรก
ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมโปรตุเกสมีพันธกิจหลักในการส่งเสริมความรู้ความเข้าใจทั้งด้านภาษาและวัฒนธรรมโปรตุเกสในประเทศไทย โดยทางศูนย์วัฒนธรรมฯมุ่งเน้นด้านความร่วมมือและจัดกิจกรรมอันเกี่ยวข้องกับวัฒนธรรมในหลากหลายด้าน

Criado em 1993, o Centro Cultural Português em Banguecoque esteve sempre sedeado na Embaixada de Portugal. O terreno onde se encontra a embaixada de Portugal em Banguecoque, a mais antiga residência diplomática no reino da Tailândia, foi concedido por Sua Majestade o Rei Rama II, em 1820, para o estabelecimento de uma feitoria portuguesa e da residência do primeiro cônsul, Carlos Manuel da Silveira. Tendo como finalidade primordial proporcionar o acesso a manifestações em Língua Portuguesa, o CCP/Camões, IP centra a sua ação na colaboração e organização de eventos nas diversas áreas culturais.

Created in 1993, the Portuguese Cultural Centre is located on the premises of the Embassy of Portugal. Its office, once in annexes of the Chancery, moved in 2004 to the newly renovated Chancery. The land where the Embassy of Portugal is located is considered the oldest diplomatic site in Thailand. His Majesty the King Rama II offered it in 1820 to Portugal, in order to establish a factory and also the residence of Carlos Manuel da Silveira, the first Portuguese consul in Thailand. Having as its main role the promotion of the Portuguese language and culture in Thailand, PCC focuses its action on collaborating and organizing events in the various cultural areas.
