Get ready to witness the breathtaking Royal Barge Procession 2026 on the Chao Phraya River! ✨
On November 6, 2026, Their Majesties the King and Queen will travel by royal barge to Wat Arun for the royal Kathin ceremony, held on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary.
But before the main procession, the Royal Thai Navy is conducting a series of rehearsals and the best part is that you can watch them for free! 🙌
⚓ The Royal Barge Procession 2026 at a glance:
🔹 52 royal barges
🔹 Around 2,200 personnel
🔹 A formation of 5 rows and 3 lines
🔹 Approximately 1,280 meters long and 90 meters wide
Among the most magnificent vessels are the royal barges Suphannahong, Narai Song Suban Rama IX, Anekchatphuchong, and Anantanakkharat, each showcasing Thailand’s incredible craftsmanship, art, and centuries-old royal traditions.
📅 Rehearsal Schedule
There will be 10 smaller rehearsals throughout August–October:
August: 17, 20, 27
September: 3, 8, 17, 23
October: 2, 8, 15
⭐ Major Rehearsals: October 21 & 28, 2026
📍 You can watch the rehearsals for free along both sides of the Chao Phraya River, from Rama VIII Bridge to Wat Arun.

⏰ Rehearsals begin at around 3:00 PM, as the procession moves from Rama VIII Bridge towards Wat Arun.
