Hello friends! Many of you have been to Thailand on your holidays and have fallen in love with the country as I have. You have also seen for yourselves what many years of careless tourism have done to the amazing beaches and reefs that make us come back year after year.
Koh Tan Conservation Center aims to use volunteers and marine biologists to protect and restore the coral reefs and mangroves on Koh Tan while educating the locals and tourists alike on what we hope to be a new way of thinking - that these environments are here to protect us, and we need to protect them.
But we need some vital equipment to make this project a reality for it's opening in August. Coral survey equipment and diving equipment on site will reduce the running costs of our organisation and help us do the work we need in the early stages.
