Vicious woman!

Vietnamese woman arrested for allegedly plotting husband's murder using his teenage sons ⚖️

A 41-year-old woman in Da Nang, Vietnam, is under investigation for orchestrating the murder of her husband by persuading his two teenage sons to kill him in an alleged plot to seize his assets.

The city's police announced Friday that Nguyen Thi Kim Sau, a resident of An Hai Ward, has been arrested to be investigated for murder.

The alleged victim's elder son, 19-year-old Nguyen Thai Bao, has also been detained, while his 14-year-old brother, Nguyen Quoc Huy, is being processed for a reform school due to being below the age of full criminal responsibility under Vietnamese law.

According to the investigation, Sau married the 42-year-old alleged victim, Nguyen Chien Thang, last year, and repeatedly told his sons from a previous marriage that their father intended to leave his assets to a child he purportedly had with another woman.

She is accused of encouraging the two brothers to kill their father by promising she would manage the estate and eventually divide the property between them, even guaranteeing she would take care of Bao after he completed any resulting prison sentence.

Investigators said Sau later mapped out a detailed murder plan with the brothers that was set to take place on the night of Feb 23.

The plan allegedly deviated when, at around 10 pm that night, Bao got into a physical altercation with his father at their home and left the house.

Police said Bao returned at around 2 am the next day and attempted to strangle his sleeping father with a cloth rope, but fled to a nearby hotel when the alleged victim resisted and shouted for help.

At around 4 am, Sau instructed Huy to text Bao, telling him to return home to finish the attack.

Investigators allege Sau prepared a hammer, leaving it on the staircase, and opened a window so Bao could sneak back inside to strike his father in the head with the weapon while she watched and urged him on.

After the alleged victim collapsed, Sau allegedly incited Huy to grab an iron and repeatedly strike his father in the head until he died.

Following the killing, Sau allegedly cleaned the crime scene, instructed Bao to remain hidden at the hotel, and told Huy to change out of his bloodstained clothes to conceal the crime.

However, investigators quickly became suspicious after identifying glaring inconsistencies between Bao's statements and the forensic evidence collected at the scene.

Police also noted that Sau showed little sign of grief following her husband's death, continuing to operate her business and socialise with friends while authorities uncovered signs of financial irregularities.

Huy began displaying unusual psychological behaviour and frequently left home to play video games.

On May 20, police placed both Sau and Huy under detention after the suspects admitted to their roles when confronted with evidence.

Expat warns of long-running 'football box' scam 📺

A foreign resident in Bangkok, Thailand, has alleged that he and two friends fell victim to a fraudulent IPTV streaming service operated by a man targeting expats.

The alleged victim reported that each friend paid 5,500 baht last August for a one-year subscription box that was personally installed by the seller, a fellow expat who is from Ireland.

Technical issues reportedly began within weeks of the installation, with one device failing almost immediately and another stopping entirely after six months.

When one alleged victim attempted to contact the seller regarding the malfunctions, the man reportedly requested more than the original fee to reactivate the service before cutting off communication.

Subsequent online research by the residents uncovered a trail of complaints against the suspect dating back to 2022 across various Facebook groups and expat forums.

Many other residents have alleged that the suspect uses multiple aliases and has previously moved between Hua Hin and Pattaya while continuing to sell faulty devices under different phone numbers.

Some commenters claimed they had attempted to lodge police reports in the past but faced language barriers or alleged that no meaningful action was taken against the individual.

The alleged victim has now compiled transfer records and screenshots of the complaints in hopes that exposing the man will prevent others from being targeted by the scheme.

Female tourist shocks onlookers by stripping naked for a beach photoshoot in Thailand 📸

A holidaymaker caused disbelief among onlookers after she stripped completely naked to pose for photos in a secluded area of Kalim Beach in Phuket, Thailand.

The woman continued striking model poses against palm trees and rocks on May 22 while a friend took photographs, ignoring beachgoers and fishermen who were reportedly gawping just a few feet away.

Under Thai law, public obscenity carries a fine of up to 5,000 baht, but authorities have repeatedly struggled to deter holidaymakers from outdoor nudity and sexual acts on the resort island.

In recent months, police in Phuket had to investigate multiple incidents, including a French couple arrested and deported for an explicit act on Rayee Beach on April 12, and reports of n**e sunbathing at Rawai Beach in March.

Tourist hunted for roughhousing baby monkey in Pattaya, Thailand 🐒

Police are currently hunting for a male tourist accused of mistreating a baby primate at a bar.

The holidaymaker was allegedly recorded pulling the tiny animal from his waistband and biting its ear, causing concern among onlookers.

The alleged victim reportedly tried to escape across chairs but was yanked back and struck by the shirtless man.

Witness Juthamart, 40, reported that she initially noticed the man repeatedly touching his crotch before realising he was concealing the creature.

Residents and bargoers expressed deep concern for the safety of the animal, fearing it might die under his care.

The same individual allegedly caused panic at another venue in the city last month by forcing the creature to consume alcohol and use a v**e.

When confronted by residents during the previous incident, the tourist reportedly claimed ownership of the pet and stated he could do whatever he wished.

Sathit Pratchaya-ariyakun, president of the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, stated that macaques are a protected species and this behaviour constitutes animal abuse.

Local authorities confirmed they are looking into the matter but have yet to receive a formal complaint regarding the incident.

American tourist found dead on apartment balcony in Pattaya 🚨

An American tourist was found dead hanging from a sixth-floor apartment balcony in Pattaya, Thailand.

Shocked passers-by noticed the unconscious 50-year-old holidaymaker draped motionless over the railing in the early hours of May 18.

Police arrived at the seven-storey building at 1 am local time, where they found onlookers gathered on the street outside.

The shirtless man, identified as Mr Timothy Tahei Witsil from Florida, was seen slumped forward beside a white plastic chair.

Investigating officers found the television in his room left on and two bags placed on his bed.

Lieutenant Colonel Saijai Kamjulla stated that Mr Witsil is believed to have died more than three hours before he was discovered.

Authorities confirmed that no wounds or signs of assault were found on the body, and the room showed no evidence of a struggle or disturbance.

The body of the alleged victim will undergo a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Tourist takes three Thai women back to his hotel... only to have cash stolen 🏖️

A 48-year-old tourist from the Maldives has told Crime Asia how 2,200 USD allegedly went missing from his hotel room following a romp with three Thai women in Pattaya, Thailand.

The incident was reported at Pattaya City Police Station after the alleged victim discovered the cash missing from his belongings.

The man stated he travelled to Thailand with three friends for a holiday in Bangkok before the group later visited Pattaya for the nightlife, where the women are enticing but dangerous.

The group had booked two separate hotel rooms a short distance apart from each other.

The alleged victim said they had been drinking heavily before returning to their hotel with three Thai street freelancers they met along Pattaya Beach under the coconut trees at 4 am.

He claimed one of the women took him to the shower while the two others remained inside the room and allegedly searched through his bags.

At the time of the incident, his three friends were reportedly staying in the second hotel room.

The Maldivan man enjoyed the company of the three women until they left the hotel at approximately 6:30 am.

After the women departed, the alleged victim claimed he discovered that more than 2,000 USD in cash had disappeared from his belongings.

Hotel CCTV footage reportedly showed the women at the reception counter during both entry and exit from the building.

The tourist later identified two women in the images whom he believes were involved in taking the money.

The man contacted Crime Asia to express frustration over what he described as a lack of serious progress in the investigation after filing his report.

Authorities confirmed the complaint has been formally recorded and investigators are expected to continue reviewing evidence.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no suspects have been publicly identified or charged.

British man arrested for alleged contract killing of Iraqi cartel member in Phuket 🚨

A British man has been arrested in Pattaya, Thailand, for his suspected involvement in the contract killing of an Iraqi cartel member.

The 33-year-old suspect, Mr Amir, allegedly supplied weapons to a Colombian gunman who shot 24-year-old Ameer Mundher Mahmood from Sweden in broad daylight on February 7.

The incident took place in Phuket, Thailand, whilst the alleged victim was cleaning his motorcycle outside a hotel.

Police tracked Mr Amir to a luxury apartment in Pattaya, Thailand, where he was arrested on a warrant for aiding and abetting premeditated murder and possessing and carrying fi****ms in a public place without permission.

During the raid, officers found a knife and two phones by his bedside, though Mr Amir denied any involvement and claimed he knew nothing about guns.

Police Chief Natthasak Chaowanasai stated that Mr Amir was uncooperative and that the motive for the murder was a conflict of interest within an international drug cartel.

Investigation revealed that the shooting was a systematic assassination rather than a personal dispute, causing panic in an area visited by many tourists.

The suspected Colombian gunman, Fernando Estaid Guevara Sanchez, was previously caught on CCTV shooting the alleged victim more than once before being arrested near Phuket International Airport.

Mr Amir had reportedly been lying low for several months in Pattaya, Thailand, before his arrest and subsequent transfer to Patong district station for legal proceedings.
