UBU Welcomes Delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia

On 8 September 2026 at 1:30 p.m., executives from the Faculty of Agriculture, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), accompanied a delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, on a courtesy visit to Asst. Prof. Dr. Griengsak Kaewkulchai, Vice President for Administration, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education. The meeting was held at the Pho Sai Meeting Room, Office of the President, Ubon Ratchathani University.

The UPM delegation comprised Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eric Lim Teik Chung and two doctoral students, Ms. Nurul Adilah Binti Abu Bakar and Ms. Nurul Aishah Binti Ahmad Fauzi.

The visit, held from 6 to 9 September 2026, was organized under the Visiting Professor Exchange Program and Student Exchange Program for the 2026 fiscal year by the Division of International Affairs, Ubon Ratchathani University. During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eric Lim Teik Chung conducted a workshop entitled “Writing and Publishing High-Impact Research Manuscripts” for faculty members, staff, and students of UBU’s Faculty of Agriculture. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in preparing and publishing research manuscripts in high-impact academic journals.

During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities to advance academic and research collaboration, as well as faculty, researcher, and student exchanges between the two universities. UBU and UPM are currently finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will serve as a framework for strengthening and advancing their collaboration through concrete initiatives in the future.

The faculties of agriculture of both universities have maintained ongoing academic cooperation since 2025. Previous activities have included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eric Lim Teik Chung’s participation in an international conference at UBU and a visit by UBU students to participate in academic activities at UPM. This visit therefore marked another important step in strengthening institutional ties and expanding opportunities for academic and research collaboration between UBU and UPM.

✨ Your UBU LCC 2026 Story

My name is Aubonphon Khuntharaksi, and my nickname is Fuji. I am a student from the Business School at Ubon Ratchathani University. Joining UBU LCC 2026 was one of the most memorable experiences of my university life. Throughout the camp, I had the opportunity to meet new friends from different countries, exchange cultures and ideas, and participate in various workshops, group activities, and cultural experiences.

I learned how to communicate with people from different backgrounds, listen to different opinions, and work together as a team. As a team leader, I also learned that good leadership means listening, respecting others, and supporting the team. However, what I enjoyed most was simply spending time together with my friends, sharing conversations, laughter, and memorable moments. This camp helped me become more confident, open-minded, and appreciative of cultural diversity.

For students who are interested in joining UBU LCC in the future, I highly recommend it. Be open to new people and experiences, and enjoy every moment.
You may come to learn about different cultures, but you will leave with new perspectives, unforgettable memories, and meaningful friendships.
