من تونس إلى النجوم — حرفيًا. 🌌
استقبلت القائمة بالأعمال في السفارة الأمريكية إيميلي كاتكار المهندس التونسي الأمريكي في وكالة ناسا، الدكتور محمد عبيد، في مقر إقامة السفير في تونس، لتقديم عرض خاص بعنوان: "من تونس إلى ناسا: مستقبل استكشاف الفضاء."
وشارك الدكتور عبيد تجربته في العمل في مجال تكنولوجيا الفضاء الأمريكية المتقدمة مع نخبة من العلماء ورواد الأعمال في مجال التكنولوجيا وقيادات جامعية وخريجي برامج التبادل التابعة للحكومة الأمريكية.
وسلّطت الأمسية الضوء على التميز الأمريكي في مجال الابتكار الفضائي، وعلى الفرص المتنامية أمام الكفاءات التونسية للتعاون والانخراط في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأمريكية. 🚀

Chargée d'Affaires Emily Katkar welcomed Tunisian-American NASA engineer Dr. Mohamed Abid to the Chief of Mission Residence for the special presentation, "From Tunisia to NASA: The Future of Space Exploration."
Dr. Abid shared his experience working at the forefront of American aerospace technology with an audience of scientists, tech entrepreneurs, university leaders, and alumni of USG exchange programs.
The evening highlighted American excellence in space innovation and the growing opportunities for Tunisian talent to engage with U.S. science and technology. 🚀

إنه الختم العظيم للولايات المتحدة، الذي يُستخدم للتصديق على توقيع الرئيس في المعاهدات والاتفاقيات الدولية ووثائق التعيين الدبلوماسي.

تيارات قوية. رياح عاتية. ومشكّكون قالوا إن بناءه مستحيل. 🌉
لكنّ كل ذلك لم يمنع المهندسين والعمّال الأمريكيين من تشييد جسر البوابة الذهبية، الذي أصبح عند افتتاحه عام 1937 أطول جسر معلّق في العالم.
إنها قصة رؤية ومثابرة وابتكار ساهمت في رسم ملامح حقبة من الإنجازات الأمريكية. ولا يزال الجسر قائمًا حتى اليوم رمزًا خالدًا لتلك الروح.
Strong currents. Fierce winds. Skeptics who said it couldn't be done. 🌉
None of that stopped American engineers and workers from building the Golden Gate Bridge — which, upon its opening in 1937, became the longest suspension bridge in the world.
It's a story of vision, persistence, and innovation that helped define an era of American achievement, and it still stands today as a lasting symbol of that spirit.

صُنع جرس الحرية عام 1751، ودقّ احتجاجًا على الضرائب البريطانية، وقُرع بمناسبة توقيع الدستور الأمريكي، كما دوّى في جنازات فرانكلين وجيفرسون وواشنطن. واليوم، يقف هذا الرمز التاريخي في منتزه الاستقلال الوطني التاريخي في فيلادلفيا. 🔔
ومع احتفال الولايات المتحدة بمرور 250 عامًا على الاستقلال، لا يزال هذا الرمز الأمريكي خالدا 🇺🇸🔔

Commissioned in 1751, the Liberty Bell rang against British taxes, tolled for the signing of the U.S. Constitution, and sounded for the funerals of Franklin, Jefferson, and Washington. Today it stands at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia. 🔔

يوم صداقة سعيد بين الولايات المتحدة وتونس! 🇺🇸🇹🇳
في 28 أوت 1797، وقّعت تونس والولايات المتحدة معاهدة السلام والصداقة، وهي من أقدم الاتفاقيات التي لا تزال قائمة في التاريخ الأمريكي. وتوثّق هذه الصورة من عام 1959 للرئيس الحبيب بورقيبة مع الرئيس الأمريكي دوايت د. أيزنهاور فصلًا من فصول هذه العلاقة العريقة.
🤝 وبعد أكثر من قرنين، تواصل هذه الصداقة نموّها وترسّخها. وتتجسّد اليوم في التدريبات العسكرية المشتركة والتعاون الأمني، وتنامي روابط التجارة والاستثمار من خلال برامج مثل SelectUSA، وبرامج التبادل الأكاديمي مثل فولبرايت التي تربط الجيل القادم في تونس بالولايات المتحدة. 🤝

Happy Tunisian–American Friendship Day! 🇹🇳🇺🇸
On August 28, 1797, Tunisia and the United States signed the Treaty of Peace and Friendship — one of the oldest agreements still standing in American history. This 1959 photograph of President Habib Bourguiba with U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower captures one chapter of that long relationship.
🤝 More than two centuries later, that friendship keeps growing stronger. Today it shows up in joint military exercises and security cooperation, growing trade and investment ties through programs like SelectUSA, and academic exchanges like Fulbright that connect Tunisia’s next generation with the United States. 🤝

أمضى وفدٌ من الإدارة العامة للتكوين بالشرطة التونسية هذا الأسبوع في ولاية ميشيغان،في إطار زيارة لتبادل الخبرات مع 🇺🇸 شرطة ولاية ميشيغان وكلية العدالة الجنائية بجامعة ولاية ميشيغان، والتعرّف إلى أبرز النماذج الأمريكية المتميزة في مجال التدريب على إنفاذ القانون.
يسهم هذا التبادل في تعزيز أمن التونسيين والأمريكيين من خلال دعم قدرات تونس على التصدّي للتهديدات الأمنية المشتركة التي تواجه البلدين. واطّلع المشاركون على الخبرات المشاركون الخبرات الأمريكية في إدارة أكاديميات الشرطة وضمان جودة التدريب،ما من شأنه أن يدعم أكاديمية الشرطة للعلوم الأمنية، التي شُيّدت بالشراكة مع الولايات المتحدة، في إعداد كفاءات أمنية متخصصة للتعامل مع أولويات مشتركة، من بينها مكافحة الاتجار بالمخدرات والجريمة المنظمة العابرة للحدود والإرهاب.
وأكد السفير بزي، ابن ولاية ميشيغان والمعتز بجذوره فيها، أن هذه الشراكة بين شرطة ولايته والشرطة الوطنية التونسية تفتح فصلًا جديدًا في مسيرة الصداقة الأمريكية التونسية الممتدة لما يقارب 230 عامًا.

Members of Tunisia's National Police Directorate of Training spent the week exchanging ideas with 🇺🇸 Michigan State Police and Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice's School of Criminal Justice and observing U.S. models of excellence in law enforcement training.

The exchange will keep Tunisians and Americans safer by helping Tunisia confront shared security threats to both countries. Participants shared U.S. law enforcement expertise in academy management and training quality — knowledge that will help Tunisia's Police Academy for Security Sciences (co-constructed by the United States) prepare practitioners to work on shared priorities like counternarcotics, fighting transnational organized crime, and counterterrorism.

Ambassador Bazzi, a proud Michigander, noted this partnership between his home state's police and Tunisia's National Police marks the latest chapter in nearly 230 years of U.S.-Tunisian friendship. 🇺🇸🇹🇳
