‼️Public Announcement from the Department of Communication, Ministry of MEIDECC‼️

This is to inform the public throughout Tonga that the tsunami siren test scheduled for Friday, 27th March 2026 has been cancelled.

Following yesterday’s real tsunami siren warning, it was decided that conducting a test so soon afterwards could cause unnecessary alarm and confusion within the community.

We appreciate the public’s understanding and continued cooperation during this time.
