01 of Fiji Corrections Service (โFCSโ) officers, Mr. Usaia BAINIVALU, who is also a Suva Rugby Referee, arrived in Tonga last week to referee the Intercollege Rugby Semi-Finals.
Mr Bainivalu was one of the basic recruit instructors for ๐
๐๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐/๐๐ that the 04 Tongan prison officers just graduated from recently in March 2025.

HM Prisons and FCSโs ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ which promotes regional co-operation still stands and as a goodwill gesture of our ๐๐๐๐ โ๐๐, HM Prisons hosted Mr Bainivalu for a farewell dinner on 25 July 2025 as a token of our gratitude to FCS for our continuing cooperation in capacity building.
Also present at the farewell dinner were Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Laini Manuofetoa, Superintendent of Prisons Kalavite Taufa, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Pouono Lino, and our Tongan instructors who prepared our recruits prior to their departure to Fiji, Prison Officer Kilifitoni Vea and Prison Officer Patsy Manuofetoa.
