• 𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨: All filings required under the Company, Business Licence, Registration of Business Names, and the Foreign Investment laws will now be completely online, streamlining your experience.
• 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: For the first time, access these certificates directly through our online platform.
• 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨: Transition to secure and seamless online payment options, saying goodbye to manual processes.

April 26, 2024: Intellectual Property Tonga conducted a workshop aimed at bridging the gap between Intellectual Property (IP) rights and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Attended by a diverse group of business owners, the event centered around the theme of "Building a Common Future with Innovation and Creativity."

Empowering businesses with the knowledge and tools to protect their intellectual assets, the workshop served as a platform to highlight the vital role IP plays in promoting innovation, creativity, and economic growth.

Through interactive sessions and insightful discussions, participants delved into how effectively leveraging IP rights can contribute to achieving the SDGs, particularly in Tonga’s context.

Key topics included understanding the fundamentals of IP, protecting innovations, trademarks, and patents. Alongside MEIDECC, MIA, and the Statistics Department co-hosting this workshop also exemplifies Tonga's approach to SDGs by adding IP considerations into climate action, gender equality policies, and data-driven decision-making.
