Ambassador received a courtesy call from Mr. Bohari M. Ali, Iraq Country Chairman of PETRONAS Carigali Iraq Holding B.V.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the role of PETRONAS in Iraq's energy sector and Malaysia's longstanding presence in the country's oil and gas industry. In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted ASEAN’s continued commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development. He also welcomed the recent approval of Türkiye as an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner, describing it as a significant milestone that will further strengthen cooperation between ASEAN and Türkiye across areas of mutual interest.
