MARSEC COE Hosts EXER MARSEC-25 Final Coordination Conference (FCC) and Main Event List/Main Incident List Scripting Workshop (MEL/MIL Sc.WS)

The Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (MARSEC COE) successfully conducted the EXER MARSEC-25 Final Coordination Conference (FCC) and MEL/MIL Scripting Workshop on July 02-04, 2025, with the participation of various maritime interested stakeholders from the military, governmental institutions, International Organisations and companies. The event was held in a hybrid format, enabling both physical and remote attendance.

During the conference participants were briefed on the Refined Exercise Plan, Scenario Modules, Exercise Structure, and Participation Framework. Additionally, a strategic roadmap for the ex*****on phase of the exercise was outlined.

The workshop focused on script and develop exercise incidents, and to refine scenario products with appropriate additions or amendments aligned with the MEL/MIL framework

Maritime Operational Awareness for Joint Operations Course

The Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (MARSEC COE) conducted the “Maritime Operational Awareness for Joint Operations Course” from 17 to 21 February 2025, with physical attendance. Designed for non-naval personnel serving at NATO Joint Headquarters, the course provided awareness, understanding, and knowledge of essential maritime considerations when planning and conducting operations and exercises in a joint, multi-domain environment (land, sea, air, cyberspace, etc.). By enhancing participants’ performance, the course aimed to help achieve effective joint and multi-domain operational outcomes. A total of 29 instructors, subject matter experts, and course attendees from six countries (USA, Azerbaijan, Italy, Norway, Portugal, and Türkiye) took part in this program.
