18 April World Amateur Radio Day
April 18 is a meaningful day when Amateur Radio operators around the world come together to celebrate the spirit of friendship, cooperation, and communication. World Amateur Radio Day is observed each year to commemorate the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union in 1925, highlighting the importance and contributions of Amateur Radio to society.
Amateur Radio is not only a unique technical hobby, but also an important platform that fosters international friendship, encourages learning and experimentation in radio technology, and provides valuable voluntary communication support during emergencies and disasters.
As Türkiye Radyo Amatörleri Cemiyeti (TRAC), we continue our efforts to promote Amateur Radio in Türkiye, introduce this valuable hobby to younger generations, and strengthen volunteer communication networks, especially in support of emergency and disaster communications.
On this special occasion, we sincerely congratulate all Amateur Radio Operators in Türkiye and around the world on World Amateur Radio Day, and wish everyone successful contacts and continued friendship across the airwaves.
