On January 21, 2026, H.E. Aden Houssein Abdillahi, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti, paid an official visit to Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay, Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

During the meeting, fruitful discussions were held regarding our enduring "Sister City" relationship. Both parties explored new avenues for cooperation and discussed potential joint projects to further strengthen the bond between Djibouti and Konya.
