On **September 2nd**, we were happy to welcome students from **Theophilus Learning Haven** to the Couva Public Library! ๐Ÿ’™

The students enjoyed a fun **storytelling session**, received their very own **library cards** ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŽซ, and got creative by making their own **crafty bookmarks**! โœ‚๏ธ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ”–

It was wonderful seeing their excitement as they explored the library, discovered the joy of reading, and created something special to take home.

โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ“š **Exploring the World of Aviation with the Golden Members Club!**

On **August 26th**, the Couva Public Libraryโ€™s **Golden Members Club** welcomed **Jamie Enightoola**, author, aviation professional, and founder of **AviologyX** โ€” a Trinidad and Tobago-based aviation platform and retail venture dedicated to curating aviation resources, including books and themed items.

Jamie was our highlight speaker for the meeting and gave members an engaging introduction to the world of aviation through **aviation-themed word search activities**, an overview of **important travel documents**, and an introduction to the **aviation phonetic alphabet**. โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ค

It was an informative and enjoyable session that showed that learning has no age limit! We thank Jamie for sharing her knowledge and passion for aviation with our Golden Members. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“šโœจ **A Visit Filled with Stories, Culture & Inspiration!** ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡น

On **August 11th**, we were delighted to welcome approximately **30 members of the I Can Read Movement** to the Couva Public Library! The group included children and young adults between the ages of **7 and 20**.

The **I Can Read Movement** is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy while educating children and young adults about the rich culture and heritage of Trinidad and Tobago. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ“–

During their visit, our Librarian shared the captivating Trinidad and Tobago folktale story ***The Black Lake* by Grace Achoy**, a former NALIS Librarian. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ She also encouraged the group to develop a love for reading and reminded them that they too can become authors by putting their own stories and ideas onto paper. โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

We hope their visit inspired a new generation of readers and storytellers to **read, create and share their own stories!** ๐Ÿ’™
