🏆🚨 Champions of CERT Games 2026! 🚨🏆
Teamwork, resilience and community spirit were on full display at the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Games 2026 Finals, held on Sunday 24th May at the Queen’s Park Savannah, as teams competed in a dynamic showcase of emergency response skills, coordination and preparedness.
The Diego Martin Borough Corporation proudly congratulates the 🥇 North Zone on emerging as Champions of the CERT Simulation Games 2026 after an outstanding performance throughout the competition.
The North Zone Team comprised the Diego Martin Borough Corporation Disaster Management Unit, led by Coordinator Ms. Kathy Christopher, the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation Disaster Unit and the Port of Spain City Corporation Disaster Unit, whose combined efforts, discipline, and determination led to this remarkable achievement. We are especially proud of the contribution made by the DMBC Disaster Management Unit as part of the victorious team. 👏🔥
Congratulations are also extended to the 🥁 South Zone for securing the title in the March Past Competition with a disciplined and spirited presentation. 🇹🇹✨
Adding to the pride of the occasion was the strong support shown to the DMBC Disaster Management Team by Chief Executive Officer Sherry Hazel-Loney, Her Worship the Mayor, Akeliah Glasgow-Warner, Deputy Mayor, Valiesha Sookdar, Chairman of the Disaster Management Committee, Councillor Marcia Marslin, fellow Councillors and members of staff, whose presence and encouragement reflected the Corporation’s continued commitment to disaster preparedness, emergency response and community resilience.
Special commendations are extended to all participating teams for their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness efforts across Trinidad and Tobago. 💪🚒🚑
