Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry and Acting Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with His Excellency Samuel Yaw Nsiah, High Commissioner for Ghana to Trinidad and Tobago, resident in Cuba, during a meeting on 28th July, 2023 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.

The Minister and High Commissioner discussed the upcoming Visit of His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, The Asantehene, to Trinidad and Tobago for Emancipation celebrations during the period 30th July to 5th August, 2023. They focussed on the activities on the agenda for the visit of The Asantehene as well as the long-standing and friendly relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Ghana.
