NXG Promotions is hosting its Third Annual Rounders Competition at the John Mader Recreation Grounds in Paramin, and as customary, I was there cheering on the teams many of whom are proudly made up of my very own burgesses! ❤️

The competition is heating up 🔥 with great sportsmanship, community spirit and plenty of action still to come!

It is with heartfelt sympathy that I extend my deepest condolences to the Joseph and Thomas families on the passing of Magdalene Joseph.

During this difficult time of loss, may you find strength in the love and memories shared, comfort in one another, and peace in knowing that she will forever remain in your hearts.

As Scripture reminds us “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

May God’s comforting presence surround the entire family and give you strength and peace in the days ahead.

Yesterday I attended the 2nd Annual Fun & Family Day, hosted by the Le Platte Strikers and The Back Street Aunties.

The Small Goal Tournament was a fantastic highlight, bringing our young people together through football, teamwork and healthy competition. ⚽️🏆

I was proud to support this initiative as a sponsor and as the Councillor for St. Lucien/Cameron Hill. Supporting initiatives like these is important to me because they create positive opportunities for our young people and bring families and the wider community together.

Congratulations to the organizers, participants, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day a success! 👏🏽❤️

Today, as we celebrate 64 years of Independence, we honour the journey of our nation and the people who have helped shape Trinidad and Tobago into the vibrant, resilient country we proudly call home.

Independence is more than a date on our calendar. It is a reminder of our responsibility to build a nation where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive, where our communities are strengthened, and where we continue to move forward together.

As we reflect on our achievements and look toward the future, let us continue to embrace the diversity, creativity, resilience and spirit that make us uniquely Trinbagonian.

May we remain committed to serving our communities, uplifting one another and building a stronger Trinidad and Tobago for generations to come.

Yesterday, I asked persons on TikTok to comment if they’ve received the Book Grant. Over 250 comments and counting, and the overwhelming answer is NO.

I keep seeing comments of parents indicating their applications indicate “80% processing ”, but parents still have nothing in hand. The Minister of Public Utilities in his capacity as acting Minister of Education said payments would begin August 24th. Today is August 27th, and with school reopening September 7th, parents are running out of time.

Enough talk. Enough excuses. DISBURSE THE GRANT.

Yesterday our Back-to-School Initiative began in the district of St. Lucien/ Cameron Hill, providing support to families facing difficult circumstances during this challenging season.

Assistance included food hampers, bookstore vouchers, and book bags, helping to ease the cost of preparing children for the new school year.

As a Councillor, I believe service must reach those who need it most. I sincerely thank the Diego Martin Borough Corporation, along with the individuals, that donated backpacks, stationery and other school supplies.

As our children return to school, may they do so with confidence, dignity and the knowledge that their community stands behind them. ❤️
