🌿 WORD OF THE WEEK: Gratitude 🌿

In a world that constantly moves at lightning speed, taking a moment to pause and reflect on the good things can completely shift your perspective.

What exactly is gratitude? It’s more than just saying a polite "thank you." It is a conscious quality of being thankful and a readiness to show appreciation for the kindness we receive.

It’s about recognizing the beauty in our lives—whether it’s a supportive friend, a quiet morning, or a moment of peace—and acknowledging that the source of that goodness often connects us to the world around us.

✨ The Benefits of Practicing Gratitude:

Improves Well-Being: Shifting your focus to what you have rather than what you lack can instantly boost your mood.

Deepens Relationships: Acknowledging the kindness of others strengthens bonds and builds trust.

Fosters Positivity: Over time, training your brain to see the good helps create a more optimistic and resilient outlook on life.

Take a deep breath today and look around.

👇 What is one small thing you are truly grateful for right now? Let’s fill the comments with some positive energy! 🌸

BODY IMAGE & SELF-WORTH

Take ah lil breath.

Yuh is more than how yuh look in ah mirror.

More than ah number on ah scale.

More than who prettier than who.

Somebody else looking good doh take away from yuh own beauty.
Yuh worth eh come from yuh size, yuh shape, yuh skin, or how people see yuh.

Yuh body eh no problem to fix.

Is yuh home. Is what carrying yuh through life every day.

Stop pressuring yuhself to look “perfect.”

Yuh doh have to change yuhself to deserve love, respect, or good treatment.

Talk to yuhself nicer.

Ease up on all the hard criticism.

Ain’t nothing wrong with taking up space.

Ain’t nothing wrong with being soft.

And ain’t nothing shameful about being human.

Try to appreciate what yuh body does for yuh,

not just how it looking.

Yuh body waking yuh up every morning.

Helping yuh move.

Helping yuh survive.

And hear nah —

somebody else looking good doh take away from yuh own beauty.

Yuh allowed to grow.

Allowed to heal.

Allowed to show up exactly as yuh are right now.

Confidence eh mean perfect.

Self-worth eh something yuh have to prove to nobody.

* Yuh deserve care.

* Yuh deserve rest.

* Yuh deserve kindness now — not “when yuh lose weight” or “when yuh fix up.”

Even on the rough days, try to treat yuhself like somebody worth loving.

Because you are!

Pause… breathe… reset.
