Today we proudly celebrate 75 years of excellence, growth, learning and achievement. For three-quarters of a century, Egypt Village Government Primary School has been a place where young minds have been nurtured, dreams have been inspired, and lifelong memories have been created.

As we honour this remarkable milestone, we celebrate the dedication of our teachers, staff, students, parents and alumni whose contributions have helped shape the school's rich legacy. Through the years, the school has stood as a beacon of knowledge, character and community spirit.

🌱🚜 🐄Learning beyond the classroom! Our Standard 4 students had an exciting and educational field trip to the Sugarcane Feed Centre in Longdenville. From discovering how sugarcane is processed to exploring agriculture and farming practices, the day was filled with fun, curiosity and hands-on learning experiences. What a Marvellous Monday it was of learning and exploration yesterday! 🐰🐐✨📖
Our Infant 1, Infant 2, Standard 1, and Standard 2 students enjoyed a hands-on experience with a mini petting zoo, where they met and interacted with a variety of friendly animals. Meanwhile, our Standard 3–5 students visited the Indoor Arena and explored a Career Fair, learning about different professions and future opportunities. A day filled with fun, discovery, and valuable experiences for all!

🌿✨ What an unforgettable adventure we had 2 weeks ago at the beautiful Lopinot Historical Site! Did you know Lopinot was once a famous cocoa estate founded in the 1800s by Count de Lopinot? 🍫🌱

From learning how cocoa goes from tree to table during the engaging presentation, to exploring the exciting Martin Gomez Cave and spotting bats 🦇, to dancing along in the lively cocoa demonstration 💃🏽🎶 — our students, teachers, and parents had an AMAZING day filled with fun, culture, history, and teamwork!

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Stephanie Richards-Swan🕊️

Today, the Egypt Village Government Primary School family pauses to honour and remember one of our own, Mrs. Stephanie Richards-Swan, whose contribution to our school will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Richards-Swan faithfully served at EVGPS from September 1st, 1994 to her retirement on September 20th, 2012. Throughout those years, she touched countless lives through her dedication, kindness, and passion for education.

She was especially instrumental in the development of our school’s choir, helping students discover confidence, discipline, and joy through music. Her love for the arts and her unwavering commitment to her students left a lasting impact that continues to echo through the halls of our school even today.

Though she passed away on April 23rd, 2026, her legacy remains alive in the many students she guided, the colleagues she inspired, and the memories she helped create during her years of service.

To her family, loved ones, former students, and friends, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Mrs. Richards-Swan.
Thank you for your years of service, your music, your wisdom, and your love.

Your song will forever remain part of EVGPS. 🕊️
