The Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security, in partnership with the UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, recently conducted a regional training initiative to strengthen transparency, ethics, and due diligence at key Caribbean border points.

Held from 25–28 May 2026 under UNODC’s Passenger and Cargo Control Programme (PCCP) and supported by the Government of Canada, the workshop brought together border officials from across the Region to enhance operational integrity and cooperation in customs, immigration, and law enforcement.

The training equipped participants with practical tools to identify corruption risks, improve reporting mechanisms, and strengthen institutional resilience against illicit trafficking and organised crime. By fostering collaboration and building a network of border professionals, the initiative reinforces a unified regional approach to safeguarding trade, travel, and security.

The Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs ( ), has strengthened Antigua and Barbuda’s crime-fighting capacity through the delivery of advanced fi****ms identification technology to the Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.

Unveiled on 27 May 2026, the new systems—including a Bullet Catcher and IBIS BRASSTAX—enable local processing of ballistic evidence, accelerating investigations and reducing reliance on overseas laboratories.
