Forced behind the keyboard. Trapped behind the scam.

What looks like a scam operation may also be a human trafficking operation. Many victims are deceived into accepting fake jobs and then forced to commit cyber fraud under coercion.

Know the signs. Help break the cycle of exploitation.

Collaboration is key to unlocking greater productivity! 🤝📈

Yesterday, Senator the Honourable Leroy Baptiste, Minister of Labour, Small and Micro Enterprise Development and his team met with Senator the Honourable Satyakama Maharaj, Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism and his team to advance the Productivity Ecosystem for Decent Work Initiative with the initial phase being addressing Productivity challenges facing Trinidad and Tobago's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Ministry's Productivity Ecosystem for Decent Work initiative, being piloted in partnership with International Labour Organization - Caribbean Office Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean, received the full endorsement of the Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism and his team. The initiative has the potential to strengthen the competitiveness and capacity of businesses, launching within the tourism and manufacturing sectors, while promoting decent work, supporting the buy Local campaign, and contributing to broader business growth and national economic development.

This collaboration reflects the Government's commitment to fostering decent work through improving productivity, and creating an enabling environment where SMEs can thrive as key drivers of economic diversification beyond the energy sector.

Stay tuned as we continue working together to build a more productive, competitive, and resilient Trinidad and Tobago. 🇹🇹 Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism TTT Live Online Loop TT
