On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, we saw the curtain being drawn on the officer who has committed the longest service to the organization.
The Chief Fire Officer (Ag.) Andy Hutchinson recognized Assistant Chief Fire Officer Earl Sampson for his 44-plus years of service to the TTFS.
ACFO Sampson began his tenure in the TTFS as an apprentice in 1981. Upon his completion of firefighting training, Sampson was enlisted with the service #1901. He then worked in various departments and has worked his way up the ranks at one point to act as Deputy Chief Fire Officer. His longest tenure and aptly most recognised position has been that of his time in the Training School.
The pre-retirement event took place at the Fire Service HQ. Mess Wrightson Road. Also, in attendance were Deputy Chief Fire Officer (Ag.) Ansar Ali, the executives, senior officers and Sampson's family. As he ventures on this new chapter of his life we wish him the best and continued success.
Here are some photos of the event as it took place.
