Happy Indian Arrival Day, Trinidad and Tobago!

Today, we honour the arrival of the first East Indian indentured immigrants aboard the Fatel Razack on May 30, 1845, and celebrate the enduring legacy they have helped build in our nation.

Their courage, resilience, hard work, and rich cultural traditions have profoundly shaped Trinidad and Tobago's identity. Through their contributions to agriculture, business, education, religion, music, cuisine, and public service, generations of Indo-Trinbagonians have helped create the diverse and vibrant society we proudly call home.

As we commemorate this important day, let us reflect on the values of perseverance, unity, and mutual respect that continue to strengthen our multicultural nation. May we celebrate our shared heritage, embrace our diversity, and work together toward a future of continued progress and harmony.

Happy Indian Arrival Day!
May the spirit of unity in diversity continue to guide and inspire our beloved Trinidad and Tobago.
