TT-CSIRT Ensuring a high and effective level of cyber security in Trinidad & Tobago

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago through the Ministry of National Security established the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) in November 2015 with the assistance of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). The implementation of the CSIRT is a strategic objective of Trinidad and Tobago’s 2015 National Cyber Security Strategy.

Today, Friday, July 10th 2026, following their outstanding Top 5 finish in the OAS Cyber Challenge, these talented young professionals participated in an exclusive Cybersecurity Immersion Workshop hosted by TT-CSIRT, Ministry of Homeland Security.

Throughout the full-day workshop, participants gained valuable insight into the world of national cybersecurity through hands-on exposure to cyber incident response, threat detection, and the secure implementation of artificial intelligence. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation made for an engaging and inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

The Ministry of Homeland Security remains committed to nurturing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and strengthening Trinidad and Tobago's digital resilience.
